Advice On Image Posting And Hosting:

If you hover your mouse pointer over the image you want to show, right click over it and you'll see either "Properties" in Internet Explorer or "Copy Image Location" in FireFox.

In "Properties" in Internet Explorer, you'll need to highlight the image Address or URL completely and copy it by right clicking over it once it's all been highlighted. FireFox is easier, as you only need to click on "Copy Image Location".
Paste the copied URL in to the field which states "Link To Image File" or for forum replies and posts use this http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/images/editor/insertimage.gif to paste the URL in.

If you have an image on your computer you want to use, try
http://www.imageshack.us or http://www.photobucket.com to upload and host them on.

Browse your desktop for the image you want to upload to one of those sites, then click "Upload". Once that's completed, a URL or web address will automatically be created for you to copy and paste as above.

Hi,

Are they any good for fulfilling pre-orders? As still been waiting for GAME!
#3
They are normally very good at honouring pre-orders.

I forgot to add don't forget quidco! I just ordered a PS3 plus Motorstorm and Resistance for £500 (incl delivery), but once you account for the 5% quidco, it means the effective price is £475!
#4
i got my wii on release day and i waited a good week or so after they started doing pre-orders.

i would recommened them from my Wii delivery. others had troubles though.

i ordered mine, with fall of man and motorstorm.

nice one voted!

Posted this within the DVD.co.uk thread a while ago, dont forget 5% Quidco, around a £10 off on the one game bundle ;)
#6
So I guess they're the same as Game? But I just thought they had more allocations thus higher chance of getting the Wii. Does anyone know if they need to take full payment now or do they take out on despatch?
#7
they charged me a few days before i recieved my wii, so should wait till dispatch i think.
#8
No money is taken now - so probably a good alternative to Argos!
#9
Oh Ok..thats brilliant...I am thinking I'll order one now...and ring up to see if they have any idea about allocation....but if GAME give me a call in the next week I'll ask them about allocations etc and if it sounds more promising I'll cancel this?!
#10
Well I preordered and then successfully cancelled a 360 HD-DVD order with them last year so it offers a good backup if anyone else comes out with a better deal.

However, I don't think anyone will match PS3+2 games for £475 - best deal I've seen so far in terms of bundles.
#11
Still waiting on my Wii and I ordered it on the 23rd of January. Customer service is a joke so beware. That is my experience although others have had good experiences.
#12
Oh Ok...Yeh I understand itsa good deal...but Im only worried about that I pre order but recieve it weeks later....Oh well I'm going for the pre order now with Woolies.....hopefully they won't charge anything.....lol..let me find out...lol
#13
woolworths are very good on pre orders as long as you get in early :)

if you try and get an order in late you may have problems...... but as they dont take money till its allocated to you and dispatched to you or the local store its great for a backup :)
#14
Just preordered, they havent debited my card yet, so thats a good sign. 5% quidco means £23.45 back!! Total = £446, not bad at all :)
#15
Just ordered 2 consoles and already tracked on Quidco. Previous experience of Woollies is good as ordered a Wii on the 29th Jan and got it on the 1st Feb (how good are Wii's!!!!) they didnt take the money until they confirmed it was collected at the store :-D

Sorry russ - I didn't see that post!
#17
So, is this the 60gb or the 20gb version as they do not say on the site?!?!?!
#18
Only the 60GB version is being released to begin with! :)
#19
If I decide to cancel this preorder what happens with the QuidCo? Will that restrict me from cancelling it. Just that I was going to buy it with one game at the normal price but then noticed the post be russ....which gives me 2 games at that price!!!!

Any ideas????
#20
No just mail woolies and ask them to canx your initial order (which is what I did) then go back and order another one, with regs Quidco it will be tracked but they just won't receive any money for it.
#21
Thanks Haywood......I've placed the preorder. Many Thanks Guys..Now will hopefully get it!
#22
hi. is it best to get it sent to the house or better to collect from the store. just worried in case cant get one on release date. thanks. shelley
#23
Seriously though, I would recommend that you all wait a few months as the price will drop sooner rather than later. A XBOX 360 will be a much better option in the short term.
#24
Very tempted now
I will prob wait until they have actually been released and get to see it in action ie graphics etc. Am also worried about problems it may have. I did pre order a PS2 on day of release but that was £280, £425 is a bit steap. Think I am trying to convince myself not to buy it yet
#25
Ive chosen for it to be delivered to me. But I also thought of collection at store would have been better. I think you can change it later on...
#26
Only 300,000 to be released in UK. Price drop will come down to £300 in a 12 month gap from launch date(happy waiting).

a way to justify the £424 price tag:whistling:

Go away! Why is it anytime there's a PS3 thread someone just has to chime in about the 360? We all know about the xbox, i've got one thanks and also happen to want a PS3.
#29
Hi Guys :) I'm new to the bored so please be nice.....
I have been waiting for the last two weeks for woollies to do their pre-order, and it happens when I'm at work! I had a quick look at 6am this morning but they still had not updated their site but I had a look at around 1015 at work and see it was on there so I ordered one. only thing is as we are not aloud to use the pc at work I rushed my order and for got to go through Quidco! Gutted. But I will be chuffed if I any up getting my PS3...
#30
I don't know why people always butt in on a PS3 thread by rubbishing it. I personally think its a rip off and have never been or will be interested in owning any sony games console. But there are plenty of people out there that do own them and want to get there hands on a PS3 and these are the places for them to look.
#31
Nice one op!! Have just pre-ordered one.

If this deal ever expires, Darkplanets have their pre-orders open, and they say on their site that they "will be shipping all our pre-orders on the 22nd March for UK delivery on the 23rd."
#32
Agreed, personally i like games and don't care who makes the box which plays em! I've got some great games for the 360 but also want some of the great games that will be coming to the PS3.. the next game from Team ICO is reason enough for me :)
#33
Hi,

Pre-ordered a PS3 today with Fall of man. However I have just checked my email, and it states that it wants me to:

This order has been selected for a security check, and we will now require further verification.

Therefore if you could please reply to this email stating the following information:

card holder name
card holder address
the name of the bank that issued the card

Did anyone else get this email? I was just worried it better not be one of those scams!

lLet me know soon people please.......
#34
Just ordered mine, many thanks. :)
