The administrators are really going to town with selling off everything in Woolworths, today I noticed this board outside with all the shop fittings on and the prices!

It even has a small office chair from the staff room for £10!

A bit of a crazy/funny deal, but thought was worth a mention!

Could be handy for anyone starting out a new shop...

Such a shame to see this place go!

was in the main big one in liverpool on saturday and it was just a mess

stuff was just scattered everywhere games had a further 10% off ie grand theft auto was reduced

to £35.99 (i bought it off play for £17.99 last week)

i bought my father in law a dvd player which was £10.13 whilst quening to pay i noticed a sign by

the tills saying no refunds under any circumstances exchanges only :w00t:

so if the dvd player doe'snt work and i take it back and they have none left what the f.ck will they

give me maybe a tenners worth of pic and mix or maybe a f.cking chair

But the price example above for the game shows why they have gone under good luck to all

the employees  :santa: :santa:

Huge sympathy to all their employees. Not the best time to be looking for a job, try to enjoy crimbo as best you can, and maybe pick up a bargain or two prior to the closure.

#31
What next? Selling the T-Shirts off the staffs backs? Now that would literally be 50% off!

Finally some Humanity in this thread..............well said.

When you're all picking over the bones of each retail failure remember if you can what it was like in the 80's as the jobless total rose, then double that pain due to our individual debt exposure.

This Crimbo I am hoping that Capitalism just has a cold, and reports of its death are premature, but I am not optimistic.

Wow that is cheap.

Don't know if the stuff in the photo are not photographed well but from what I can see they all look hugely overpriced? Is that really sections of metal racking at £40 a shot?
It's less than that new for most grades and is constantly scrapped.

Why can't the government give me free money instead? Why can't they give me a load of money to 'bail' me out so I can start a new shop myself instead of giving it to a rubbish business with an outdated model?
