Mine arrived today. It is an outstanding piece of kit. Soft start and variable speed. The head acts as a dust seal and the dust is sucked out without the use of a separate vacuum cleaner so not as clumsy as larger machines. I had previously used a more sophisticated machine which was more expensive but that was too heavy and caused a rotor cuff injury that took a while to recover from. I don't think there is danger of that with this. Sanding disks are none standard but when I Googled 180mm sanding discs, they seem to be easily available. You only need one of these if you start with something rough or you are looking to make a good filling job perfect but at this price, it's worth throwing to the back of the shed until you need it. The free delivery also means I don't have to go into Aldi which is a bonus. This must be the cheapest dry wall sander I've seen but add the lack of the need for a vacuum cleaner together with the portability of the thing, it seems ideal for occasional DIY use.
