However, I have used Grainger Games a lot and they are usually reliable so I am hoping this is just a one off. But anyhow now £22.99 new for a new copy.

I did buy the day one edition from Argos mate, it was really the day one edition. I do like Grainger Games but I am pretty sure they do not have any day one editions to sell. I also buy at least a game on a weekly basis from them so that you know I am not trying to be biased here. If you re looking to buy day one edition for cheap, only place at the moment is Argos and if you want the normal edition you can either get it from Base or 365games for £20.99 which works better. I am just trying to help. :)

I bought a 3DS game from them but I'm certain it was a second hand copy despite I paid for a brand new one. I never used them since then.

They definitely do have day one edition's to sell. My friend also bought it for £25 last week. His was sent unsealed but got a code with his which worked. Not sure why they insist on sending none sealed games.

I do appreciate the comment/help by the way. Hopefully ill have my issue sorted soon. If they send me my code out and refund me £2 (due to price drop) then am fine with an unsealed copy.

They are a good company and good in communication. I did have issue with some of the games I received and it was resolved in a day. I only buy second hand from them thou. I think (if not the best) they are one of the best places to buy preowned stuff from especially with that 10% off code (which is better than that 2-3% cashaback they were offering in the past).

Watching Argos like a hawk.... traded normal edition to GAME for £18 cash, bought Argos day 1 and currently playing but am hopping they drop price in next few weeks.... want to buy again and return on old receipt. Argos also list it with the day 1 bar code... which is interesting

They are shocking ( in my experience ) and well known to often send out second hand games when ordering new product. Never bought anything pre owned with them and wouldn't touch them with a barge pole after my experiences buying new games from them . (Different formats too)

It's great you've had a good experience with them but just to add a contrasting opinion for the potential benefit of others, I wouldn't want to support them again as they were awful with me.

Tried them, wasn't great then gave them a second chance thinking maybe it was just unfortunate the first time and they sent me a "new" copy of a game that was a total mess. (That's not including a time or two in the past where I ordered only to be told later they were actually out of stock and couldn't fulfil the order.) It was the Republique Contraband Edition, the box was ruined and when I questioned them on it in a perfectly nice message to them they told me that their "new" stock was in fact very often ex-display pulled from shops and then after responding to this they basically told me tough sh*t and just tried to wash their hands of the problem.

Hence I avoid them and actively recommend sometimes that other people do to as apparently this isn't even an isolated incident with me, many others seem to get into the same kind of position with them far often than you would expect.

You have removed the most important part of my comment just to quote my claim but ignoring the reason from it! I said they're a good company for buying preowned. I remember that deal and I remember you were not the only one having issue and I remember either myself or someone else was warning people you won't get a new/sealed copy. I insist, they're a good company to buy PREOWNED from. :)

To be clear I didn't intend to appear to be twisting what you had said. Apologies if it came across like that, I just felt that was the most relevant part to quote for talking about their customer service and the rest stopped being relevant to my point.

It's just my view that I wouldn't support them at all as it doesn't matter in the slightest if they're good on preowned, the fact that they are a terrible company in other aspects means in my mind they deserve no support at all and I don't believe that you can pick and choose when it comes to things like that in terms of either being run like a respectable company or half-ar*ing it and only treating one group of customers well.

I understand mate. I respect your point of view. :)
