half price world of warcraft reduced from £14.99p to £7.49p @ game.

available instore or online.

go through quidco & get a further 11% off.

you also get one months subsciption included which would cost you £8.99p - you do the maths.

this is without question the cheapest this game has ever been available.

this is the best selling mmo (massive multiplayer online) game of all time with 8.5m players wordwide.

be warned this game is very addictive!

I'm on the trial now.

Does anybody know if it is possible to pay just on the months you want to play?

Excellent price, shame this isn't recieving more heat! the next nearest is about £8.99 from choicesUK.

You sure this is instore also? I'm on the trial so I might go pick it up then!

Yes, it is. When you want to stop playing, go to account management on the main website and click cancel. This will cancel any automatic payments, and your account will be frozen from the date of the next payment (ie you could put your card details in and then cancel, and you'd be able to pay for the next month). When you want to pay again, just go back to the same page, and there should be a reactivate button.

A game that you cannot play without a monthly subscription is not something I have really considered buying. It's probably the underling factor behind the lack of heat too.

Most people I know who play WoW would be spending more per month on new games than the monthly subscription ;). The lack of heat could also be because the game has been under £10 for at least 6 months.

I absolutely highly recommend you don't buy this game. It's not known as the world's most addictive game for nothing. If you want to sit in your room 16 hours a day playing this then go ahead...otherwise get outside!

Its incredibly addictive, but at the same time, why would you pay £8 a month to play one game - if I did that for all my games Id be bankrupt!

Not as good as the free Guild Wars, which is available for 9.99 from play.com

alternatively you could buy a 60 day pre-paid game card from amazon or play.com for £17.99p - play for 60 days solid then take a break for as long as you like.

Does this version come with a 30 day trial... I have some HMV credit, so will order the 60 day card sometime during the trial??

Can anyone confirm if it has a 30 trial as part of this £15 SKU?

yes it does come with the 1st month free that's why i feel it's such a hot deal as a months subscription costs £8.99p and the game only costs £7.49p with the first month included.

just a thought - does anybody know wether it would be possible to buy 12 copies - use the twelve codes giving you 12 months subscription saving you 16% in fees over the year?

Nah, I'm pretty sure the free month is as you register a new account, so you could create a new account every month but then you lose you characters which I doubt people want.

To get the free month, you need to register the code to another account, and it costs £15 to transfer a character between accounts.

thought that might be the case but thought it was worth asking the question anyway - thanks.

It can be very addictive if you like these kind of games (building your characters, trying out different characters aswell). At the same time they have monthly updates, which means they have new content (new creatures, quests etc). Which should keep you interested and hence you continue to play. Besides it's only £8 a month, you can't even get a decent console game for that.

the ice showered on this deal could have complemented a dozen case's of magners!
baffled as to why people are voting cold and then not giving an explanation as to why.
i'm guessing it's the £8.99p monthly subscription fee but if you weigh it up against sky's £50 monthly fees i'd say in terms of entertainment value it was very good value.
i suppose the world would be a boring place if everybody had the same interests.
