After the end of the one-month subscription included with the game, you will need to subscribe in order to continue playing. There are three options in our flexible subscription structure: month-by-month subscription costs 12.99€/£8.99 per month, 3-month subscription costs 11.99€/£8.39 per month and six month subscription costs 10.99€/£7.69 per month.

Problem?

Good price, guides are useless though. They just detail things like controls and guide you through the first 30 minutes of the game which are already well explained in-game anyway.
#6
they should make one with all the new expansions in
#7
Not a bad price.. Although Rift is better than WoW imo :)

/me legs it

You still have to buy WOTLK and Cataclysm if you wnat to get up to date. the guides are pretty useless as most of the quests and areas have been revamped due to Cataclysm.
#9
I have just installed the battle chest, and it's all up to date, only need to get wotlk and cata once i am leveling up to those bits, as all the info is on the servers.

the money pays for decent servers to play on, and they are always updating it to make the game better

The price in the title is misleading, it should be "£6.99 plus your immortal soul."

Ofc the game will be up to date otherwise it wouldnt work, but things like flying in Azeroth you cannot do without Cata. I was actually referring to the information in the guides. Its a good price for a first timer, but you will find most of the population is at higher levels. £ per hours entertainment is very good.

WoW only ever seems to be fun in sporadic bursts for me, so every few months, me and my friends get another month of subscription. Like this, we don't get too addicted and it doesn't really cost too much either.

I haven't bothered with the Lich King or Cata, but my friends did - I have never felt like I was missing out whilst playing.

At this price, even if you just try it for a month, It's a steal. Make sure you play with friends though, or make friends on there; It multiplies the fun tenfold X)

With people Qqing a little about the subscription fee for some this is alot better than going out drinking constantly and a hella lot cheaper, not everyone can go out due to kids/work/uni etc.

The friends you can acquire/make on these types of social platforms is awesome, although as stated when you hit level 70 ingame to continue "advancing" in the world you will need to purchase a further 2 expansions being "Wrath of the Lich King" and "Cataclysm"

The guides are utterly useless.

The game itself, is well....addictive. I havent enjoyed Cataclysm one bit since its release because they changed a little too much for me and Im sure many others. I have perservered becuase I have a nice guild and some good friends and as a result I am 4/13 in HCs with a full T11 set and some Heroic gear but I wouldnt envy someone coming to WoW green these days because its extremely costly for even the most basic of glyphs and mats for levelling.

They have also made it ridiculously easy with Flight Points every 2 minutes. I remember vanilla when you had to get to Lv 60 to get your Epic ground mount and it was a quest in a dungeon that would take three hours to complete. Now you get it a Lv 20 and the Epic at Lv 40 with flying at Lv 60, there is no sense of achievement anymore.

WoW is now basically designed for people who have several alts, a high level guild and the gold on their mains to buy the BOA stuff that makes it easy to level quickly.

Exactly that. My husband and I play this and have done since original beta. We have two children and a third on the way, we just don't have time/money/babysitters to go out and relax and be social so this is perfect for us.

And before all those other people say "eh you can hardly call it a social thing" well you can when people you see day to day in work etc play as well, but they are under the same constraints as you - children, limited childcare and money.

Our families don't get it. But then they'll be happily glued to the big rectangle in the corner of the room all night, watching soaps and crap like that. I see no difference.

That's complete crap.
Levelling 80-85, you get a good 1k gold every zone you do. Plus whatever you make before hand getting up to lvl 80.
I haven't got a high level guild. In fact my guild is pretty much myself and my husband of late, due to a certain game whos tag line is "You're not in Azeroth now". The people that are online help each other out. You don't need to spend gold to better yourselves, just choose professions carefully. We play a couple of hours a night, most nights, and that is plenty to do what we need to do.

Going cheap because everyones playing rift!

Or because Vanilla is over 6 years old and TBC 4 years old.

You don't expect to pay full price for console games that are that old which has had expansions come out since...So why is this just because of Rift?
#21
subscription costs are zero to me selling rare drops in game gear mount's
if you have a 2nd account leveling with buff bot is a stroll
great deal i paid 7.99 over 4 month's ago for my copy

Great price for this. Yeh fair enough ya need 2 more expansions but for the first two this is great.
As for those saying its because of Rift...lol wise up. Rift is yet another poor imitation of warcraft that will get a little hype upon release but slowly and surely will fail to meet expectations of the current generation of wow players, simples.

The general consensus of people i know who play Rift is it lacks its ok at first but is becoming very boring already which is not good sted for a game thats been out for a 2 months?? Whereas WoW we all know as per earlier comments has been out for 6 years and is still attracting new players.

Although on a slight off note it is becoming to look very tired graphically :(

I've always thought WoW was very cartoony- but that is exactly WHY I like it. It's a game, not RL, personally I think all the real life-esque graphical games (Rift?) looks more cack to me.

But then perhaps I'm a wow fanboi (girl?) anyway. LOTRO came and went, AION came and went, Rift will do the same. I've not deviated from wow ever. I've had moments of less play and moments of more play.

ATEOD, if you want to play it you will. If you don't want to play you won't.

when you need the next expansions try cex online, i got wotlk for £8 and cata for £12 :)

i play with my oh, mainly cos he loves it so i thought i would humour him, but i gotta be honest its great, dont go out a great deal so its a nice 'spare time' filler for me

just incase anyone is interested there is a hukd thread in misc dedicated to wow, some of us have joined a guild and help each other out, its all fun so pop in if you fancy it

Cartoony is fine and somewhat needed to make it flow most effectively in regards to polygon count when lots of people are grouped although updating things in line ie Cata models with Vanilla models etc ;) anyways this is going off subject.

Its a good game highly addictive and a good way to play amongst friends lol

Clearly you didnt read the post properly and just jumped in with both feet didnt you?

I was refering to someone who has NEVER played WoW before buying this and starting it from scratch which is about the only person this deal is of any interest to.

Please tell me how someone like that is going to worry about Lv 80-85 any time soon and getting that magical 1k a level in gold or how they are supposed to know that you go for 2 gathering proffs right from the offset and sell everything you get? Clearly you havent seen what happens to people who ask for help in Trade chat on most WoW servers they get raped by moron kids who cry noob at every one who hasnt killed Nef on HC how are they supposed to learn? WoW isnt exactly a warm and cuddly place for people who havent played it before.

I also have over 200k on my main and Im in a Lv 23 Guild so dont tell me I dont know what I am talking about when it comes to WoW because I have played it for many years and know every levelling trick and money making scheme in the book.

And as they say on WoW. Next time L2Read before commenting and making a fool of yourself.

Rift will fail exactly the same way and for the exact same reason Aeon did.

Once you get to the level cap there is nothing to do.

WoWs graphics are one of its strongest points because it allows people with lesser spec computers to still play without having to upgrade their PC forevermore.

I have just installed the battle chest, and it's all up to date, only need to get wotlk and cata once i am leveling up to those bits, as all the info is on the servers.

Once you are ready to upgrade, dont forget to make use of the ten day trial of Lich and Cata before you enter the CD keys. Extra 20 days playtime for free - provided you dont hit max level within those 10 days :) Bonus.

Trials are basically useless now though because you level so fast, your lucky if you make use of 1 day from the trial considering TBC trial allows only to reach the END of level 60, wotlk lets you reach only to the end of level 70 and cata only lets you reach to the end of level 80.

If you already have an acount you just get access to Cataclysm content for the 10 days of the trial, it doesn't add 10 days onto your sub. There's no money to be saved.
