Searched and couldn't see it posted anywhere recently so here goes!

Basically you pay for the Groupon voucher and redeem it on the website. After enrolling, you will receive your student ID which can then be used to apply for an NUS Extra card following the instructions given at:

https://www.writestorybooksforchildren.com/nus/

I think you need to pay an extra £13 per year for the student card but obviously you can easily recoup that over the course of the year depending on how often you use it. I should also point out that it is possible to get Amazon student discount using your NUS card (although when I did it I had to email Amazon directly with a scan of the card for them to allow it).

Regarding the course itself, I've not done much of it but it seemed fairly good and worth the £14 - could easily help you hone your skills if you're wanting to self-publish children's books on Amazon etc, or even just write stories for your kids at home.

For 20% off groupon

I.e. £11.20 total cost for course.

Don't forget to go via topcashback too!

7.7% Existing customers TopCashback (I think that rate ends today) and £11 cashback for new customers? Not overly familiar with TCB but that's what it says so someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

5% cashback Quidco

Thank you for posting this. I am interested in the discount on Amazon, the T's and C's say that the Amazon discount is valid until 31st October 2016, does anyone know if this is likely to be extended please? https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200217300

In all honestly I don't know - I didn't realise they were stopping the discount (at least that how I'm reading it). Unless they just require you to apply a new code to your account instead? I'll be a bit sad if it does stop as every little helps, although it's obviously not going to have such a big impact.

Still entitled to half price Prime for the year though which is easily worth it in my opinion.

There's a thread about the discount here;

http://www.hotukdeals.com/ask/5-amazon-student-discount-2520621

although that doesn't really give any idea about what happens after 31/10/2016 either. I've checked on the NUS website and that just says the same - that the code will expire but you'll still be entitled to half student prime for £39/year.

Thanks very much for your reply. Yes, it's a good deal regardless of whether the 5% off is extended, I think I might go for it. :)

Also get Spotify for half price (£5 per month) which saves £60 a year, this alone makes it worth while for me.

I got this last year with an e-careers language course, and just renewed my NUS card for 3 years at £33.50 (including delivery), with Amazon prime half price (for 4 years), and Spotify half price, I am saving about £100 a year.

Cost marginally more in the first year as you need to pay for the course (£14 in this case) but still making a huge saving if you use the services (Amazon/Spotify) already and can save money. Heat added.

Groupon code didn't work for me but I managed to use a different code: CELEBRATE bringing it down to £10.50. Thanks for this :D

sorry fat fingers. hit cold by accident. hot from me. bought last year and just renewed my nus card for a 3 year one. Worth the money. checking with local swim and Lady says I can pick up a student swim card for cheaper entry too. key is to make sure you say over 16 hrs as they don't seem to get home study can be as long or short as you like.

Just bought this thanks OP only thing is I'm not sure how to enroll on their site, it's only giving me the option of full payment or instalments when trying to sign up on the write a book website. I have my groupon voucher.

Did you go to http://www.writestorybooksforchildren.com/voucher/

That's where it says to redeem the voucher on the Groupon page
