really good price for these tyres ,excellent reviews

WTB Prowler MX Folding Tyre.
The MX (Motocross) utilizes the same aggressive transitions and outside knobs as the Prowler XT, but features a shifted center tread. The MX is a highly predictable tire at speed, boasting deep-piercing lateral grip in loose conditions. The 2.5-inch version excels on treacherous descents and high-speed chutes while the MX 2.1-inch thrives on epic, day-long trail rides.

DNA Rubber:
Our fast rolling, high traction 60a rubber compound specially formulated for performance riding in a variety of conditions.

Aramid Bead:
A lightweight Aramid bead that provides greater bead-seat characteristics and a lighter weight than a wire bead tire.

- Usage - DH / Trail / All-mountain.
- Conditions - Dry condition, motocross inspired.
- Size - 26” x 2.1 / 2.3 / 2.5.
- Weight - 620g.
- GMS - 49 / 52.
- Aramid bead, DNA rubber, Lightweight casing, 60 TPI casing.

Why would you need a spare tyre, perhaps hardcore rock riding etc?!?! I've been stranded more times than I care to remember but that was always the tube that had gone.
#5
The other advantage is that folding tyres use a kevlar bead which is significantly lighter than a wire bead...

i personally wouldnt carry a spare either , i havnt posted because its a folding tyre(lots are these days)its a good tyre at a good price

Ahh, my comment was not sarcastic or anything, Im only just getting back into MTB riding so Im out of touch with tyre prices so it was more of a question. My new bike (a Carerra Kraken) is a great bike (despite what some bike snobs will say) but it has awful tyres, way too much road resistance, do you think these would be better for someone who does 80% light off-road and 20%road riding??

yeah my comment wasnt meant with any malice its hard sometimes to convey your tone in text, lol as far as your tyres go i have pretty much the same requirements as you and ive ordered the 2.1 s for the same reason , so i hope so

Can you report back when you've tried them, seems daft to replace the tyres so early on but they do seem like hard work on road ;)
