Just been into the House Of Fraser Outlet store in Swindon and picked up one of these bad boys at an incredible price. They had about another 4 left. Unfortunately there are only 2 of these stores in the country, Swindon and Leics but if you know anyone near them, you could always ask them to pick one up for you.

Takes 4,5 and 6 litre kegs, and also has a container for putting wine and squashes in. If you purchase the optional co2 dispenser then you can also use it for fizzy drinks.

If this is the Carlsberg Draftmaster then it's a waste of money as it only accepts the carlsberg kegs and are notorious for leaking amongst other things.
The Wunderbar is a much better option and at this price is a steal, heat and rep.

Heat from me. I'd love the cold voters to explain where I can get this cheaper

What is wrong with a fridge ?

Why must you drink it cold? Fridges are bad for the environment.

I had one of these for about a year. You use it loads in the first month or so when you have guests over but after that the Novelty factor wears of and it just ends up collecting dust. The good thing about it is it takes almost any Keg, from 4-6 liters, plus you can chill Wine, Juice, or whatever you want in it supplied Container and as it has a built in Compressor even flat liquids can be pumped on Draft!

Hot price but a waste of money really!

You've obviously missed the whole point of my useless post

The answers simple, dont drink beer then :p

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but can you get a keg and fill it up by pouring regular cans or bottles into it? Just that the kegs are so vastly overpriced.

I also saw a device about 10 years ago that's a little bit like one of these except you put a can of lager inside it and it basically chills it to fridge temperature in about 60 seconds but haven't clapped eyes on one since. Anyone know what I'm on about here?

Do you have to leave this plugged in all week just to keep your Friday night half of shandy at the optimum temperature? Or can you flick the switch half an hour before beer o'clock?

These things are a great way of gaining a massive hike in your electricity bills. They use the same power as five fridges!!!

another ridiculous argument from the "liberal-loony-lefty-softie-namby-pamby-do-goody-wishy-washy-wallys" who are trying to run our lives - you'd hardly have this unit running constantly (as you would a fridge).
It's really only gonna be used for a few hours at a time, say for a party for example.
#26
you only have to put it on a few hours before you want to drink. it's not like you have to keep it on all the time, unless you're an alcoholic lol

Isn't it just easier to buy cans and cool them in the fridge?

In terms of uselessness this is up there with those silly coffee machines that use pods.

All small coolers use ridiculous amounts of electricity if plugged in continuously - I've got one of those small Stella Artois fridges and it uses the same amount of electricity as my main fridge/freezer, which is sort of ridiculous.

I make my own 'beer pods' by tipping a can of John Smiths Smooth into an ice cube tray and freezing it.

You could save money and go to the scrap yard to get a fish tank. Fill it up with water and place the cans in. Will keep it cooler in non-direct sunlight.... ;)
