Received an email with this Wild Wednesday offer.

"From 9.30am on Wednesday 15th September, for just 24 hours, you'll be able to get WrestleMania X-Seven 2 DVD set for just £8.99 - that's less than half price!

Arguably the greatest PPV of all time and not edited in any way from it's original release - this is 2 discs of WWE action that no fan should be without. Austin v Rock in the main event and that amazing TLC match are just 2 reasons to get this. Add in the hilarity of the Gimmick Battle Royal and it's an unmissable DVD!"

Looks like a nice deal for one of the best Pay-Per-Views in history. I know that the old WWF logos are not blurred out in the Tagged Classics releases, but is the original music used for the entrances and hype videos still in? Limp Bizkit's "My Way" was edited out of the Wrestlemania Anthology edition, and I would be grateful if anyone could confirm whether or not it has been kept in this release.

Are you sure the WWF logo isn't blurred on Tag classics? I know they can still use the very old logo, but the scratch logo is always blurred on older footage. They also dub out anyone saying 'WWF'. As for music, most real songs get redubbed due to right fees.

I'm quite sure that the Tagged Classics range is exempt from the legislation that bans the use of the old scratch logo. I was wondering about the music because the item description states that the DVD is "not edited in any way from its original release", and the original DVD release definitely had the licensed music intact. It would just seem a little strange if they kept it in for this release as most licensed music is removed from a lot of the new releaes, let alone for a Pay-Per-View that is almost ten years old.

WWE is prohibited from releasing any footage with the WWF scratch logo, however Silvervision do not have the same restriction. This will be a direct transfer from the original VHS/DVD release :)

Just checked my one, it does have "My Way" - and you are correct that the scratch logo and "WWF" mentions are intact.

Hot Deal!

Wrestlemania 17 was undoubtedly the greatest Wrestling Event ever. Unfortunately, after this the WWF-WWE went downhill fast. Vince McMahon purchased WCW and they then had too many performers on the books which made them split Raw and Smackdown into different brands to try and give everybody a chance. It didn't work and the whole Entertainment side of WWE became far more predictable because the performers ended up wrestling the same opponent every 3 or 4 months.

Ironically - I'm just watching the Austin/Rock match from WM17 right now on the "Legacy Of Stone Cold" dvd - makes you appreciate how damn entertaining it was back then compared to the crap thats served up now! Jim Ross and Paul Heyman were excellent calling this ppv! Dont think I've ever seen/heard a crowd so hot since!
