There are some available for a few hundred / thousand pounds with considerably longer flight times.
You should probably take a look at those ones.

At this price I want 4K 60fps video and an hour flight time at least.
Right I'm off out to buy a new car, I've got £300 and I want a brand new Ferrari with all the trimmings. oO

A lot of people on here seem to be a bit deluded. This is a £24 TOY, we used a drone for some building surveys, that had full HD imagery and could fly for ages.....it cost the firm over £15k.

I'm not sure exactly what people are expecting to see here for the price but I think you may be being a little unrealistic!
I'll gladly be proved wrong if you can find a better one a this price point!

Yes mate, they don't fly for long unless you're at the top end, then you're talking hundreds +

I assume the 4 x AA are for the remote control. Can you get spare batteries for these, i.e so you can take some charged ones with you and have a little more fun than 6 minutes?

Not sure and I doesn't say in the spec. You could always buy 2 at that price! :p
Maybe give them a ring and ask the question.

Was about to place an order however 6mins flying enjoyment, think I'll pass. Is there any other drones that won't break the bank.

Cheers

Voted HOT all the same.

There was a Tesco without camera one but it sold out fast, haven't seen any others in this price bracket with a decent camera.

Great price - I've heard they're good fun - my maiden voyage the wind whipped it up, and deposited it between two houses - lost and never found again :(

You can certainly get spare batteries and a charger that charges them all at the same time, although I couldn't tell you which batteries they are without seeing what comes with this.

Went on the online chat, and was advised that they don't sell the quadcopter battery. But for the price (as many have said) definitely worth getting and then find a supplier for the battery. Great find!

10 fps is the number of images shown per second, you'd expect normal video is 25-30 and super-smooth is 60. Video at 10 will look like a quick slideshow and be largely unusable.

Spend a few pounds more and get a version of the Hubsan X4 H107.

With Chinese manufacturers making 4k 30fps action cams for less than £30, I believe 2017 will be the year of sub £50 1080p 30fps drones.

6 mins??
then wait 100mins to charge oO
...sorry cold from me (_;)

*sigh*
Are you serious?
The flight time quoted here is completely normal for a product of this class & price.
If anything it's unusually honest!
Many retailers will give exaggerated flight times of 10+ mins by quoting just the best case scenario (no wind, simple hover, prop guards off, no camera)

Want more flight time? Buy more LiPo batteries; they're cheap and (assuming it uses the same cell & connector as the syma x5c) widely available.

All that said, I think I'd go for the mjx x600 hexacopter from eBay; multiple UK sellers @£22.99.
Bigger battery, longer flight time, significantly larger payload capacity (it can just about manage to carry a gopro!), and a very stable flyer.

'auto return to home feature' ?? what does that mean on something of this price ? aside from gravity how can that work ? - ie I assume at this price it doesn't have on board GPS etc

yes you can get spare batteries, I got a couple on eBay for a few of quid, you're right though six mins isn't long although these are quite good fun you need a lot more space than you might think really, also the camera is hopeless....still, they're not bad

When the battery runs out mid flight do drones plummet and Smash, or gradually lose power and come down slowly?
