Next cheapest is £11.74 at SelectCheaper. Might be a good introduction for anyone wanting to invest in boxsets or the whole big boxset of all series!

The X-Files Essentials is an exclusive insiders pass to the science-fiction television phenomenon just in time for its second trip to the big screen. Selected by eight-time Emmy® Award nominated series creator Chris Carter himself, all eight full episodes in the compilation include special on-camera introductions by Carter and producer Frank Spotnitz, revealing why each were chosen. Also featured on the collection is the February 2008 WonderCon panel session with Carter and Spotnitz, as well as series stars David Duchovny (Mulder) and Gillian Anderson (Scully), making their first fan convention appearance together in several years and taking questions from fans, in an interview spanning over 38 minutes.

These eight essential episodes "Pilot", "Beyond the Sea", "The Host", "Clyde Bruckmans Final Repose", "Memento Mori", "The Post-Modern Prometheus", "Bad Blood" and "Milagro" span seasons 1-6 and cover a variety of paranormal and unexplained cases centering on alien abductions, psychic phenomenon and life forms not quite human that set the stage for the eagerly anticipated sequel. As an added bonus, the DVD set also features the theatrical teaser trailer.

Disc One

* Pilot (from Season 1)
* Beyond the Sea (from Season 1)
* The Host (from Season 2)
* Clyde Bruckmans Final Repose (from Season 3)

Disc Two:

* Post-Modern Prometheus (from Season 5)
* Bad Blood (from Season 5)
* Milagro (from Season 6)

# Bonus features: 2008 theatrical trailer; Wondercon talent panel session

But your constant moaning/trolling/complaining keeps us all entertained.:p

About a year or so ago I worked my way through all nine series. It was tough going, but good to come out the other side knowing that I'll never have to watch The X Files ever again.

Tell you what, how about not clicking on any of them, closing your account, or contributing constructively by submitting your own none CD/DVD deals ?

Fantastic collection here, being a huge X Files fan, "Beyond The Sea" is probably one of my favourite episodes and one of the first so early on which made me realise what a feckin good actress Gillian Anderson is.

Voted hot, good introduction to The X Files.

Anyone that hasnt seen Chris Carter's brilliantly overlooked (too closely sinister for TV to 7even) Millennium, I posted good deals on all three seasons a week ago....

And she's strangely quite appealing for a short dumpy ginger bird that runs around in caves with a torch.

I'm with Mascherano on this, although not particularly on this deal as this is something a bit unique...however, I wish people would stop posting ****** deals for films that are years old now in bargain buckets for £2.99, ooooh wow!?!?

Anyone can find a cheap DVD I mean come on! :whistling:

Have you since joining this forum posted any deals yourself? No.

As said already "Tell you what, how about NOT clicking on any of them, closing your account, or contributing constructively by submitting your own NONE CD/DVD deals ?

Might be more useful than spending your time in DVD deals of what you call bargain bucket stuff.

And you know what...when you walk into a high st store, what do you find, people rummaging around bargain bins, its where bargains are found. Same as online, you cant expect every bargain to be brand new, usually its a special offer from a retailer, or a misprice.

Don't forget as well, there are cheap dvds and there are CHEAP dvds such as no name films from Poundland, most dvd or cd deals listed in this forum are either classics or cult viewing/listening.

Try thinking from another angle instead of being quick to criticise.
