Good price, but video quality isn't - still hot.

A very good price! I think most people now realise it's a matter of time before its out in HD.

If Twin Peaks can get a blu ray set, so can The X Files.

If Twin Peaks can get a blu ray set, so can The X Files.

It's a similar situation to Star Trek: The Next Generation, the show was shot on film but then all post-production (special effects etc) were done on video. To get a blu release, they'll have to go back to the film elements if they still exist then re-do all the post production, which is why it's taken so long to get TNG out on HD. However, I doubt there's as much to do on a typical X-Files episode when compared to a series set on a starship, so it's still possible...

The HD versions are airing on US and German TV right now and many SFX have actually been re-done. Bunch of comparisons over on the blu-ray forums.

Yup me too. I also ordered a Prison Break BluRay and I received a clearly second hand set without even getting a dispatch notice. They're making Zavvi look reliable at the moment.
