Hello.

This is a quick post to show the best price I could find for the Lone Gunmen DVD boxset. The best price on eBay was around £22 from a UK seller. Most other companies are charging double the price. The dvd isn't out until 12th feb according to the website, but its only a few days wait.

Enjoy.

Did not realise they made a spin off series from the x-files

Voted hot :) I have to get round to watching this one myself, seeing as the x-files was my favourite show ever. But I didn't have sky when this came out, so I've never seen it!

They only made one series though, it has 13 episodes on it.

Is the series any good? presume the storyline follows similar lone gunmen stories as what appeared in the x-files

I may go for this but have tons of DVD's at the moment to watch, another series I used to like was dark skies but it has never been released on DVD as far as i am aware

Hello.

Some of the episodes are based on the X-Files stories and others just star the 3 lone gunmen, stephen snedden and zuleikha robinson. I my opinion the series is great. I had a look for dark skies but i could only find videos which were on eBay.

Dark skies would be one I would be interested in myself, but it's never been on region 2, or possibly on DVD at al!

Dark Skies was being repeated on ITV4 until recently, so maybe it'll pop up on there again soon.

Wow, Dark Skies! I'd forgotten all about that one :)
Upon investigation, the soundtrack was released last Sept but the only DVD released so far was the pilot episode in Denmark!?!? Looks like it's long since deleted.

I've taken a look & I can find no current retailer or importer for the series.
There is a company called Warlockvideo who claim to be selling 5 DVD boxsets @ $25 to the US & Canada & $35 to the UK but the site & the item look moody as hell!
If anyone can say they've ordered stuff & it was fine fair enough, but I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole!!!!
The only copies on Ebay are exactly that, COPIES (unsurprisingly)!
(They did release some episodes on VHS in the UK for the really desperate)

I tend to check Euro availabilty with www.axelmusic.com to see if items are available in euro/reg 2 or reg 1 versions as they have pretty hefty listings. Prices vary from having some Aussie & American bargains to very average prices & postage means that I rarely order but they are good for reference purposes!
(YesAsia can also be useful for checking availability & are on the Quidco listings)

PS - Lone Gunmen voted hot...cheers OP

Thanks for this! Ordered it straight away!

This was a great little series, and a very intriguing pilot episode which was only ever shown once on TV - as it features events very similar to Sept 11 despite being made before that day.

A great bunch of characters are the lone gunmen.
Also check out Millenium, it's a quality series (not a spin off, but ties in with x files sometimes)... I might check out Harsh Realm (another chris carter creation), although it's had very mixed reviews (was cancelled after 8 eps)

This series is brilliant, really funny, a bit silly really. Just like the episodes of XFiles with the lone gunmen in! Also included in this dvd is the episode of the XFiles which ties up loose story lines left at the end of the 13 lone gunmen episodes.

This set is now £14.75 from foxy, and there may be an applicable voucher code that would work in the voucher section as well :)

I have news I think you will be interested in!

Following fan campaigns for many years, Dark Skies will receive a complete series DVD boxset release in October 2007 (presumably for Region 1). Currently no news of DVD extras is known, although plenty of archive material is known to exist.

Taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Skies#DVD_Release

I cant yet see it on any release schedules at Play/Amazon but fingers crossed! Dark Skies is superb, was gutted when they canned it. X Files season 3 is currently on Living TV channel 7pm (8pm Living+1)
