Interesting deal...

But this won't qualify for free postage, so the cost is really £14.45 for this item alone. Plus this version of the DVD is £1.40 more than the normal 2-disc edition (but obviously you get the SIM).

The best price for the 2 disc DVD alone is £11.99 at CD-Wow if you go through the link http://www.cd-wow.com/capitalone/ (or even less with other vouchers you might have).

£30 for a PAYG sim seems excessive, whats so special about them to justify the £30 tag asides from Orange wednesdays

Think it must be the other way round, a free SIM with £30 credit, otherwise a £30 SIM as you say it's a bit pointless!

Amazon T&Cs don't really clarify that, they don't mention any £30, but it sounds like a voucher you exchange for a free item: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/feature/-/1000011963

You have to register for the "Free text top-up reward promotion" www.orange.co.uk/texttopup so if I understand it right you'll need to topup by at least £10 (and presumably not commit to doing this monthly unless you want more "free" texts?). But then you'd have £40 of credit, 300 free texts in the month and the X-Men 3 DVD for £22.99.

Can anyone confirm whether there is £30 credit or not? :) I know it's not clear from all the information presented, I might e-mail amazon if I can find their contact address. The sims are £1 online ;)

I contacted amazon but they responded with a crappy reply quoting the terms and conditions but did not mention whether or not the sim had £30 credit or not. Can anyone confirm? Thanks in advance :)

I don't know for sure but I'd be very surprised if the sim didn't come with £30 credit.

After all, these sims have been given away by the shedload and are also readily available on Orange's website for £1.

If it's a standard sim with no credit, they'll find themselves having to justify how they've estimated the £30 tag.............misrepresentation, false advertising and breaches of the SOGA spring to mind, more than enough ammunition to cancel and return the goods.

seem to look like a standard payg sim will be suppled...not good..need to check this out a bit more

Thanks sdl811 - that's what I was interested in. I guess the only definitive way to find out 100% now is to go to an Orange shop with the voucher and ask.

Spoke to orange , they are aware of the promotion but it seems to only supply a payg sim (no £30), so it would seem like amazon have messed up here...

I'll be returning my dvd's for a refund...

Has anyone got this and confirmed the £30 credit on the sim?

Amazon listing no longer mentions Orange Sim offer. Mistake being corrected? Has anyone managed to get their £30 credit?
