While the 3 X Men film are excellent - the 4th ie the Wolverine film is supposed to be quite poor isn't it ? - true? Personally I have the 1st 3 and have no interest in the 4th - same with The Mummy (3rd one in that case)

Actually, the wolverine one is also very good. If you likes the others, i doubt youll not like origins

its not poor just rushed, effect shots let it down but there is some interesting trivia on imdb about its troubled production including it being leaked without the special effects in.

Wolverine had the same budget as Star Trek and if u have seen both you will know the production values are much much higher on star trek.

2bh i think all of the films are just "ok"

If i had to pick it would be the 3rd Xmen movie as it introduces more characters

Good price tho

Approx £8 per movie - not bad, considering the latest one is very recent. I like them all; pretty decent, no-brains action. Except the 3rd, which I think lacked direction (and what on Earth was the point of having Archangel in it?)
#14
bit pointless when there's a fifth film planned

I enjoyed Origins, wasn't disappointed in it like a few people seem to be. The weakest of the lot was X3, just didn't have the storyline to keep it going. Everyone appeared to be there/introduced in order to have a big fight.

i think the majority of people who are disappointed are those who know the x-men storyline from the comics, where archangel is a regular x-man, the iceman is an original member. The films seemed to have butchered most of this beyond recognition.

The films are enjoyable as purely entertainment, but ruin a childhood of reading comics.

...and by the end of 2011 there will be a fifth & a sixth movie ("...Origins: Magneto" & "...Origins: Wolverine 2" [set in Japan to follow the very last scene of the most recent movie]) to add to the next boxed set.

The (also) 2011 release of "Deadpool" may be finally titled "X-Men Origins: Deadpool"... so that is a possibility for a seven-disc set in the future.

There has been talk of an "Origins" movie for Storm in the past too.

BFN,

Good deal if you consider Wolverine will be £15 on release. Effectively means you're paying a fiver for each of the other 3 or a better way of thinking of it is paying a tenner for each film in the trilogy and getting Wolverine for free :)

I thought Wolverine was ok, Ryan Reynolds was awesome but the effects were poor and they messed about with Deadpool too much. I still believe these will be cheaper within time so I'll hold out for now.

not bad but ill stick with my x-men trilogy bluray for now, its 6 discs too - will the 4 movie set just be 4 discs?

i have x-men 1,2 and 3 on dvd too but in steelbooks, and im kinda hoping wolverine gets some steelbook treatment, as id rather it on dvd in steelbook than bluray and not be.
