X-Men: Born into a world filled with prejudice are children who possess extraordinary and dangerous powers-the result of unique genetic mutations. Cyclops unleashes bolts of energy from his eyes. Storm can manipulate the weather at will. Rouge absorbs the life force of anyone she touches. But under the tutelage of Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart), these and other outcasts learn to harness their powers for the good of mankind. Now they must protect those who fear them as the nefarious Magneto (Ian Mckellen), who believes humans and mutants can never co-exist, unveils his sinister plan for the future!

X2:The time has come for those who are different to stand united...

The X-Men have to band together to find a mutant assassin who has made an attempt on the President's life, while the Mutant Academy at Westchester is attacked by military forces prompting some uncomfortable home truths for Wolverine...

X-Men 3:Take a stand... When a pharmaceutical company publicises a 'cure' to suppress mutations, lines are drawn amongst the X-Men, led by Professor Charles Xavier (Stewart), and the Brotherhood, a band of powerful mutants organized under Xavier's former ally, Magneto (McKellen)...

X-Men: Origins - Wolverine: Leading up to the events in the X-Men film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine tells the story of Wolverine's (Hugh Jackman) epically violent past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe.

Double, we've got a Matthew Vaughan (Layer Cake & Kick Ass) directed Prequel / sequel set before the X-Men movies but After (I think) Wolverine next summer and Wolverine in Japan (Origins pt II) The following Summer. X3 wasn't that bad, in fact most people who never read X-men comics liked it a lot (it's often cited as a favourite of the trilogy). it was a shame that when Fox finally let loose the financial shackles Bryan Singer had to make X1 & X2 (a brilliant film) they fell out with him and stole what would have been a fantastic end to the original trilogy and begginings of a new storyline. Sentinal and all if the teaser from X2 was to be belived!

Good to hear there's more to come!

Ive not read the comics, but used to watch the cartoons.

X3 prob was the best of films 1-3, but all were good.

Origins did not disappoint either, although the final fight could/should have been much better.

X3 was the best? Ratner directed that POS, with some of worst storytelling in any Marvel film. The only redeeming factor for that film was Kelsey Grammer, as Beast.

Oh, and don't get me started on Origins. One of the worst films I've ever seen with plotholes gaping wide left, right and centre.

X2 was easily the best, considering the fact it included Weapon X and that exhilarating mansion scene with Logan.

I enjoyed it. I thought it was superior to the first, but not as good as the second. Each to their own I guess.

great price - thanks
#37
x2 is the best IMO

I will agree that X2 was good - better than x1 - but I just liked x3 more!

I'd rather they worked on X4 than these spin-offs or a prequel, but I guess i'll just have to wait....

Taken from Amazon reviewer,

This boxset contains the following:
X-Men - this is the 2 Disc version with all extras from the Trilogy edition.
X-Men 2 - see above
X-Men: The Last Stand - see above
X-Men Origins: Wolverine - this is a single-disc edition (no digital copy etc) but has all the extras from the separate release.

The discs are in HD-Slim cases, Wolverine is in a very-slim-case! The outer case in simply a cardboard slip-cover.

So, all-in-all there are SEVEN discs in this set and NOT, NOT, NOT the 4 discs that Amazon state.

Amazon...maybe if you got your information correct more people would review/buy your products!!
