Agreed, good price (i paid about 16.99 i think last November)

Very good sound for the size, bought it as my old philips speakers were so tinny as to make your ears bleed, not so with this, plus the rechargeable battery lasts in my tests 20 hours!

then also, it takes about 12 hours or more for the charge light to turn blue to indicate full charge

recommended by me!

just to help with the title, it is an XMI X-Mini II

the second generation refers to it being a X-mini II, and not a second generation of the x-mini II itself, so all x-mini II are the same...

the original x-mini was 2 tiny speakers joined by a magnet, so it didnt look much like this at all

Great Speakers with amazing Bass, I wish the cable was a bit longer though.

Just ordered as I need a portable speaker and this has a good number of positive posts. Heat added

This is for one speaker, right? You can daisy chain them, but does that make a stereo array, or are they all mono?

I got the black one from a deal posted on here a while ago. Very, very good if I'm away on the bike. Plug this into my phone and I have decent music in the hotel room without having to carry much about. For reference for people who haven't seen these before they are not much bigger then a squash ball yet sound very good.

Hot. I really want two but not in white :-( so I either get two black ones for about £28 or 2 of these for £20. Decisions...

no, you still wont get stereo with that, you need to split the left/right signals, that just makes 2 stereo signals

you need this:

Would this work on a desktop computer?

Yes, it will work on anything that has the standard headphone connection:
desktops that dont have speakers, laptops & netbooks that have tinny quiet speakers, or old walkmans, or cd players, including these mp3's thingys

Have you actually tried this yourself and successfully got stereo sound?
banned#35
No, i have not tried, as I find the one unit sufficient

but there is no reason why a left.right splitter as sold by maplin would not do the job required of it

From maplin site

I have a pair of Xmini II speakers they both have stereo jacks. At present they either run on their own (producing mono) or plug into each other to give double the volume, but still mono sound. Could I use this cable to split the sound into Left & Right (ie plug one speaker into each output) even though the speaker plugs are stereo plugs? - Chris Deith
Answer- Yes the product does support that
#37
Great Speakers with amazing Bass, I wish the cable was a bit longer though.

Get a male to male jack cable, run it from your device to the jack plug on the speaker and it works fine.
