Ordered via Nectar and Amazon-Prime trial. That's my mum's birthday sorted! (I bought her other stuff as well.)
#2
I got 2 of these last Christmas, they are really good.
#3
These are the daddys, the charge lasts for hours.
#4
I own like 4 of these now. Really awesome, holds charge for a very long time... even when not used!
#5
Heat added, just ordered 1. Thanks!
#6
We have 6 of these around the hooose kimping around, vey good value and product

I have so far been unable to discharge this fully. I tried it playing the radio for 10+ hours and then left it on without music for about a day and then gave up. Remember to twist it to unlock it. I sometimes forget to and it sounds really tinny. Pretty stupid thing to do but i'm sure i'm not the only one! Amazing device and cheaper than on play.
#8
Can't recommend this enough - great little travel speaker - loud, good music quality, small, transportable, rechargeable and you can fit as many as you want together - amazing! For the cost it's an absolute steal!

Brilliant piece of kit. Thanks to the above I now realise after a couple of years you untwist it for better sound! Have some heat and thanks for the tip.

Can I ask a question? I have one of these. If I add a second will I double the volume?
#11
I got one at the old price, awesome bit of kit, and yes 2 will increase the volume as each are individually amplified. Heat added.

Me too! Love them! Totally awesome and, yes, the charge lasts for AGES.
#13
Amazing speakers, I have bought 2 more to add to my other 2. The sound quality is really good and battery life is fantastic. I have bought other makes of this type of speaker and they just dont come close. Hot

It says sold by amazon but when you've finished paying it says supplied by indigo starfish? What's going on?
#15
They are superb speakers, I use them every day, you can even daisy chain them.

I knew it! :p

Indigo starfish is Amazon's Jersey merchant so it is just like getting it from Amazon except possibly slower and Amazon pay less tax. I think if you buy another one (to make it 2) it will make it louder but not double the volume. If I remember GCSE physics the decibel scale is representitive of human hearing and it isn't linear. I think you would need 3 more to double the (percieved) volume but 1 more will certainly increase the volume and improve the clarity too.

It will make it louder but it won't 'double' the volume.

I've got one of these and I love it - mine's got a faulty volume knob so tempted to get another one...

Brilliant little thing, highly reccomended !

These look really cool. Both my boys have the ipod touch - how many of these would they need? is one any good on its own? Also, will these work with an iphone4? Thx.
#21
Can get for £11.76 if you buy through totallymobile on amazon. Not much of a saving but it is cheaper.

Great speaker, btw.

Just the one. (or two if they can't share!)
They're very loud and handy - they will work fine with any iphone/ipod and anything with a standard 35mm headphone jack insert. In fact you can even insert a jack into it!

Just off to have a shower with mine resting on the cistern so I can listen to my podcasts now!

It won't, no. I think you need 10 identical speakers to double the perceived volume...

They are great little speakers though, we have one that we use for every festival we go to, fantastic buy

We're sorry. The item XMI X-mini II Mini Speaker is no longer available from the seller you selected.
#28
Ive had one of these for months, had hours of use out of it, recharged it a dozen times and it still works perfectly, absloute no brainer if your in the market for a portable speaker with a built in battery.
#29
Why expired?
Just ordered one!

Rofl /facepalm

I've had one for about a year.....I didn't know about untwisting them....
#31
Thanks OP. Just ordered here too.
#32
They are indeed little beauties. i'm the proud owner of 2.....thinking about making it 3(_;)
#33
3 it is! :p
#34
Got myself one too- based on reviews on this thread!

Thanks for spending my money everyone!
#35
I'd forgotten all about these - a friend got a couple last christmas, they are so powerful and they sound great. Just ordered four as Christmas pressies. Thanks OP

It took me about a month of regular use to work out that they needed to be undone. I didn't think it sounded that much better than the laptop speakers so I didn't understand all of the positive reviews. Then I noticed the little padlock picture and as you say; facepalm.
#37
they add so much more bass when undone!

They truly are an excellent piece of kit

I used mine at work and plugged it in my mobile so a dozen people could easily listen to a conference call at the same time

Wow, that's one big jack plug! X)

I have a pair of these and cannot recommend them enough. They look good, sound great and the charge lasts a ridiculous amount of time!

Plenty of positive reviews on Play.com http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/9623066/X-Mi-X-Mini-II-2nd-Generation-Capsule-iPod-MP3-Speaker/ProductReviews.html

Brilliant deal. Paid £13.99 one for a while back and I considered it a bargain.

Think I'll buy another one to use the 'buddy-jack' system.

Bought one last week off Amazon/Indigo Starfish. Came through very quickly and what an awesome bit of kit. Already charged and have used for quite a few hours and still doesn't seem to be draining the battery.

Now trying to convince myself I don't need another one, or two. And maybe a holiday to check it works abroad.
