Am i right in thinking, if you use hdmi connection, you cant connect this ?

so you have to choose between amazing sound or better tv picture ?

no connect the console via hdmi then connect the chair using a component cable (just the sound part) job done brillant picture and sound

This price is for the X rocker JUNIOR, it is smaller than the normal X rocker. My 11 year old is already too big for his - I would only recommend this for children age 10 years or younger.
HTH!

Thanks you lot was gonna spend £20 on small crappy one now looks like i'm gonna get the adult £59.99 one :w00t:

ok so what is the difference between the adult X Rocker and the X Rocker II Special Edition, all i can see is the arm rest and £10 or am i missing something?

i bought a pryamat last year... it was the most uncomfortable thing ever!the logo that was sewn to the chair dug right in your back! sound was good tho, it lasted two days and i sold it!!!
#14
Ive had the original x rocker chair for nearly 2 years now, was great at the beginning but now it has plenty of tears on the seat and its quite uncomfortable with the structure of the chair digging into your legs and back, seems its time for a replacement then.

The sound has always been perfect tho, just comfort wise bit questionable, maybe its changed with the newer models maybe?
#15
this looks comfy, but the auction looks about as safe as a split condom 300365749340

Can anyone tell me if the X Rocker II Special Edition can be folded away and if so how?

The description says can be folded but not sure if it's referring to the armrests. Cheers.

My son has the Xbox360 - 60gig - HDMI version and he gets no sound at all coming from the speakers. You have to use the component cables and connect them to the x-rocker's phono leads.
But the sound is brilliant, VERY bassy and really good clarity for the price.

Highly recomended at that price

personally i wouldn't buy any of these.

However i would recommend this chair i won one of these in a competition it is honestly the best gaming chair ever made.

I don't know anything about these things at all, but thought it might make a 'big box' present for 5yr old's Christmas. Do the speakers and things work with the Wii? Or am I as well getting the £20 one? Ta!
#20
X Rocker II was £79.99 in the Xmas catalogue so only making a £10 saving but its better in your pocket than theirs

Bought Rocker II for my 14 yr old son for Xmas last week and paid 79 quid !!!!! ..:x

Can someone just confirm? You use the phono leads (red and white) to the TV or use the Xbox component cable along with the hdmi lead?!

Whats the real differences in the X Rocker and II Special Edition?

unbelievably uncomfortable......a jagged rock is more comfortable

Red/Green/Blue connections go from your 360 to your tv, and the red and white phonos from the component cables go into two female leads which are then connected to the chair. As far as I'm aware (and I'm pretty savvy when it comes to this stuff) there is NO WAY you can get sound through the chair if you are using HDMI. Disapointing I know, but that's how it is!

Wrong you can use (if your tv has it) the audio out (red/white connectors), hdmi goes to tv then phono leads to chair from tv.

I ordered the £59.99 chair last week & had it delivered free but paid £69.99. Very unhappy so phoned Argos & asked them to collect (free) & they offered a cheque or gift card for the price difference and I keep the chair at a lower price so well worth a call I reckon.
As I'm in plaster at the mo & can't drive I'm well chuffed with this. If you've been caught out in a similar way it's worth noting you can return any item within 30 days & reserve & collect a replacement if you're able & qualify for the £5 gift voucher deal as well.

i just got the x rocker pro 2009 and the speakers on the bottom seat dont work ... exchanged and this one has exactly the same fault. Has anyone bought one of these with the same fault?
#33
Looking in detail at the chair .... it looks like the 'speakers' arent speakers at all ?!?!? The speaker housing is there, but no actual speakers WFT How many confused people exchange the 'faulty' unit same as myself? A very bad design, especially since the other 3 models of x rocker pro dont have the dummy speakers. See photo below:

http://www.argos.co.uk/wcsstore/argos/images/75-5410365A72UC590738M.jpg

It appears that it is probably only the x rocker pro ADVANCED that has the extra speakers installed
... Can any other owners clarify this for me?

Ah, my nippers tv does not have audio out. That'll explain why it wouldn't work, thanks :-D

No, you have both hdmi and component outputs coming from the xbox, your hdmi lead goes into the tv, and the component sound cables go into the chair. You may need to take off one side of the casing of the xbox component cable lead. (prizes open easily with screw driver) in order to get it to fit at the same time as hdmi lead.

The colour coding is below you would just plug the sound cables into the chair and leave the others unattached

Red RCA connector: component video
• Green RCA connector: component video
• Blue RCA connector: component video
• Yellow RCA connector: composite video
• Red RCA connector: right audio channel
• White RCA connector: left audio channel

He is! I have mine setup like this now. I got the standard and was interested to see the difference so took it back got the special edition. Seems to be a different design on the chair, "slightly" comfier and also has the plastic handles and no visible speakers... Hoping their hidden in the upper right corners!
