It's not - that was a different model.

Requires 2 x AAA batteries (not included).

Blimey, £259 quid worth of gaming chair and they don't throw in two triple A batteries? =))
#8
So basically just an office chair:

- WITHOUT the base
- WITH built in speakers

Even for a hundred quid, this seems a complete rip off.
#9
And just so everyone knows - on the PS3 at least you can still output audio through the Phono ports (and so be able to use the chair) when you output HiDef video over HDMI. I don't know about the X-Box, but presumably at the very least you could use component output, which would use phono sound.
#10
It is a good price, but if there is no way to get composite connections, then it is kind of not worth it with all the HD gaming out there now.
#11
Surely you can connect it to your TV rather than directly to the Xbox?
#12
Have bought this for son's christmas pressie.
#13
What a complete waste of money!

^ you can do it on the XBOX 360 - just remove the outer shell of a composite/component cable, plug-in both the HDMI & Comp.... cables to the XBOX 360, HDMI into TV & the phono ends into the chair

if the phono/RCA cables arn't long enough, just buy a RCA extension cable - i think its 3m for £2.49 delivered on Amazon Marketplace :)
#15
I don't get it.

Is it just a chair with speakers?

I guess so

I'd much rather sit in my comfy leather armchair and play on my PS3 with my existing 5.1 surround sound system, than in this nasty looking chair and have only 2.1.

This is chavtastic :whistling:
#18
out of stock even when you try and order to another store
#19
Does anyone know if it is comfortable?

and wow that sounds complicated for a 360. is that serously the only way to do it? surely a component A/V cable will have seperate phono leads anyhow?

(and you shouldn't need an extension, this thing uses wireless doesn't it?)

lmao not really a chav item as it can't be put in a car... just a gimmick if you can't think of what to buy someone... could put the money towards a ps3 for some poor soul who could only afford an xbox haha :santa:

i agree there is no comparison between the original xbox and a ps3, but i'd save your money if you were wanting a good gaming console for online and offline gaming because the 360 is excellent at the fraction of the price of the ps3.

but if you were wanting an all round entertainment system/blue ray player i'd agree the ps3 is good, although there are alternative, ie video streaming via XBMC, which even the original xbox can handle

Can you remove the arms? It might be useful for... other things then. :)

Not everyone has the oppurtunity to give there kids 5.1 in there bedroom. Personally i use my 5.1 but i can see the appeal to teenagers or people who cannot get a 5.1 as the sound is suprisingly good from these chairs, they also have built in rumble in the chairs.

Reassurring to read a genuine post from someone who actually has one:thumbsup:

My housemate tried the eighty quid one in PC World and was pretty happy with it (he's getting it after Christmas) - not sure what the difference is between this and the Pro though.
#26
How does the rumble work. is it the rumble from the controller or is it just reverb coming from the low frequency sounds via the speaker?

Can you use this chair with just the rumble feature enabled and Output the audio through your existing 5.1 setup?
#27
You can use it with anything that has an audio out... my 1 year old falls asleep to iPod baby music on it.[/QUOTE]

Awww cute!!:-D

Thinking abt getting this for my xbox 360 but have some alba surround which is not the best and wondering whether this would be a nice upgrade

Bought similar items for my kids at around half this price. The only difference is that they are smaller in size.

They quickly found them uncomfortable and ended up not using them - prefering to lounge on the sofa and have the sound output through the home cinema setup.

Despite being wireless you still need power cabling, which looks a mess.

Waste of money I'm afraid. If someone actually paid £259 for these then they are mad:p

Why did u buy it if you have a home cinema set-up? Its a decent solution for a kid who has a standard TV in there bedroom.

Exactly the same but for teens - it's a pile of cack but you go spend your cash on this in the face of perceived wisdom:p

Can this be used with the Nintendo Wii?
