The Battlefield 1943 is a poor deal considering we all grabbed it for 560 at christmas. Also 1 month on and I still play it daily so I dunno what jetpac is going on about.

Is that price a definate ?

I've also seen that quoted elsewhere and tbh microsoft are that greedy I'd be suprised if it's only 400 points for what I'm almost certain was 1200 last year.

1943 is a great little game

I play it loads, more than mw2 gears halo etc

seems lots are buying it and thats probably why the price has gone up

but still 800 is a good deal

Nice one mate. Hopefully the packs of cards will be cheaper too. Went through 8400 points with that last year, which is more than what the actually FIFA 09 game cost me ffs lol.

+1, and the reason why I decided to put my MW2 copy on eBay. It's a good deal, even in view of the past Xmas deal (I've been playing BF1943 for months, bought it at release).

Then again, I'm a long-time BF player (way back to the BF1942 days on steam-powered PCs :-D), which I've always preferred to CoD/CS (faster-paced/more arcadey than BF).

Judging by the BFBC2 demo, which I've played a fair few times this past week, the gameplay is pretty much identical (typical BF), so with BF1943, it's a bit like buying a standalone "WWII mod" of the forthcoming BFBC2 (same game engine).
