Wouldn't it be better value to buy the Mega Drive collection if you wanted all of those games (and a load more)?
#7
I must be the only person in the world that doesnt' rate the sonic games ... I bought them all on the Mega Drive in the hope of liking one, but it never happened.

Haha, yeah. The deal's on Wednesday. I'm just being a pedantic fanboy.

XBLA's getting a bit left out in this celebration, PSN's getting a lot more love.

wed ???? whats happened to the sports games offers.

there was a post saying Sensible soccer and others were reduced as of Monday just gone
#10
What is going up on PSN? Also, epic fail if you've posted the title as thursday and the deal is today.

All PSN is getting is $1 off on a bunch of DLC for some of the worst Sonic games ever made and discounts on Sonic Rivals for the PSP. The PSN list is longer, but try actually reading it. :-D

It's a pretty much missed opportunity to release Adventure DX this week. :(

I have about 400 points left over from the blowout deals. Which one of these games is the best?
#15
Are any of these games co-op?
Assume Sonic and Knuckles might be, but not sure!!!
#16

#17

My opinion (and I believe the general consensus) is that Sonic 2 is the best game in the series.

But as someone else has said, I believe the Mega Drive collection is better value for money, though I haven't checked prices.

Releasing Sonic 4 would of been perfect on this day.
#20
Sonic 2 is my fave, if anyone is looking to just get one - get that one.

Not if you want to play Sonic 3 & Knuckles, since SEGA decided not to write the seven lines of code that would have enabled it on the disc.

Both titles have flaws though...

Sonic Adventure on PSN and XBLA won't venture outside of 4:3 aspect ratio (Joystiq.com)

The Xbox Live Arcade versions of both Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure were playable at Sega's booth, and both still look great, even ten-plus years after their release. However, each game has one issue that keeps the XBLA (and PSN) version from absolute perfection.

In Crazy Taxi's case, it's the lack of licensed music and locations, meaning that destinations like Pizza Hut have been replaced by generic stores, and the Offspring and Bad Religion soundtrack has been swapped out for sorta/kinda soundalikes. Actually, given how many times we've heard the Crazy Taxi soundtrack in our lives (too many!), that might be a plus.

For Sonic Adventure, the limitation of the XBLA version is immediately apparent even to those who haven't played it before: it displays only in 4:3, with vertical bars (featuring a blue patterned background) on the sides of a widescreen display. A Sega rep told Joystiq that the code for Sonic Adventure couldn't be altered to support widescreen as easily as Crazy Taxi's.

I brought the Crazy Taxi re-release on psp recently and was dissapointed not to hear offspring!
#25
Yeah, that does sound a bit disappointing, especially the music, still got my Dreamcast somewhere, will have to dig it out and play Crazy Taxi :)
#26
got them all already, worth 400 points each.

and i have the megadrive collection, but these versions have more achievements.
#27
Only Sonic 1 and 2 seem to be reduced. sonic 3 and knuckles are still 400 points. :x:x:x

EDIT: Now sonic 1 is back up to 400 points ... bloody useless ms!!!
#28
Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles are 240MSP, I bought them a few hours ago. I already had Sonic 1, and Sonic 2 took a while to get to the right price today, but I managed to bag that too.
