Most stores will have products marked up at one price and then deduct the 2.5% VAT reduction at the tills

Excellent price - I paid £69.99 for mine and I thought I did well.
#3
Is this nationwide?
banned#4
great price if its nationwide
#5
Not sure if it's nationwide. They had plenty in though. They are presented in a 360 game case and you have to take that to the counter and they then go and get you one from the store room.

Yes, me too. But I think these don't include the transfer kit.

Anyway, back then I sold the transfer kit for £15 and old 20GB HDD for £25, so the 120GB drive cost only £30 :-D :w00t:

Does this come with data migration kit does anybody know??

If it doesn't you can order one direct from MS for free...

Click the link, don't cut'n'paste it! :)

Yes it does bought one out of Woolworths 3 weeks ago, exact same packaging, it comes with disc and cable so that you can migrate from a 20Gb.
#10
Yes it comes with the transfer kit. Mine is just doing the transfer as I speak err type :)

I thought that application only applied to people who had purchased an XBOX 360 Elite (which comes with a 120GB drive) - can anyone apply for the transfer kit?
#12
Holy **** that is expensive. You can get nice PS3 320gb drives for less than that and perform better.

Yes, anyone can, even those with the 60Gb drives. Just cross out where it says elite/120gb and replace accordingly. MS only want the serial numbers from the drives so it doesn't matter if you've bought the elite or not. Plus, many people on other forums have shoved 120gb on their old 20Gb Premiums and ordered it a kit with no fuss :)

Good enough - I purchased a 60GB a few weeks back - so this'll come in handy after all...

The image of his receipt shows £48.93 so the lower price was a typo:)

i would assume as both the title and the photo of the receipt that the OP has provided say £48.93, it would be £48.93. :p

on me way now nice spot m8 fingers crossed
#21
PS3 HDDs are just normal HDDs arent they? WHICH REQUIRE MODDING. Unless you want a USB one, which isnt a PS3 one. Its just a USB one, and 360s take them, but you cant save games etc on them.

It would be helpful if the OP edited his post to show the correct price he paid.

I bet I'm not the only person to have wasted time wading through the thread, trying to spot how he paid only £28.93, despite what his receipt says! :)

They are laptop HDD's. They don't require modding.

PS3 drives are normal laptop HDD's but need formating from NTSF to FAT32, they don't need modding

I thought I'd already changed it. Obviously I hadn't! Then again, not being funny or anything but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out I paid £48.93 as it's on the receipt and in BIG red writing as the thread heading!!

I wonder if it's just my local Tamworth store and they've priced them up wrong? Even so it was worth posting, just in case anyone else from Tammy reads this site :-D

Well, I work at NASA, but like I say I was intrigued as to how your twice quoted £48.93 somehow became £20 cheaper. :)

Just rang Tamworth - out of stock but they are expecting a delivery tonight and might have some in, advised us to ring back in the morning.

I phoned microsoft when I got a 60gb drive and they sent out a kit to me. I didn't even have to give the serial numbers from the drives. I hadn't registered my console with them so she did that at the same time and just said they would send a kit out. About 10 days later I got my kit through air mail from Germany
