C'mon cold voters, these are going for more than this USED on ebay!
Even the fake ones from china are £33 on ebay!!

Best price for a genuine item, £55+ on play!
#2
good deal, hot from me.
Still expected them to fall lower than this, but they don't seem to be, and along with the wireless adaptors they are holding their price
#3
Great Deal - Just bought one.
[mod]#4
Can still use it for a slim...........just remove the casing.
#5
Good price for new. Are they still selling these for £20 pre-owned in Blockbusters? I got one before Christmas and put it in my slim after stripping it down.

Maybe because of the 250Gb deal?

£35 for 120GB? I don't know much about 360s but can't the 360 Slims take the same drives as a PS3? I just fitted a 640GB for around £45.

Nope. They have to be certain drives by Western Digital and they have to be flashed with the correct firmware and partition information. As opposed to PS3's 'one screw out, one screw in' method.

Hot deal as the 250GB at Argos is out of stock everywhere!
#10
And the transfer kit is worth £11.99...
#11
you don't need the transfer kit.
I just moved it across on a small flash drive. Yes it takes a little longer, but hey money in my pocket!
#12
cheers, heated and ordered.

Removed the casing of the official fat HDD, inside it is a SATA drive which just slots into a slim. I done it, very easy.

No, they don't. I fitted my mates old elite hard drive into the slim and that was a hitatchi and it works fine

I think he means if you're buying from new it has to be certain WD drives. Obviously if it's already setup for use in a 360 as the official ones are then you'll have no problem.

This is a good deal. I bought a pre-owed one of these for use in my slim from gamestation for about £34 so for new this is spot on.

The slim 4gb can be upgraded to 250gb for £35.45 delivered.
This option has the correct fitting kit.

Anyone know for sure these will come with transfer kits?

How do you return them if they don't? Post or back to Argos?

10-15 days shipping minimum.

I would rather order one from scan.co.uk for £28.55, use HDDHackR on it & use after 1 day.
You can also order the internal case/shell from DX if you want for $8.13 (7days delivery).

If you are capable of removing around half a dozen screws in the hard drive casing then you should be fine installing this 120Gb drive. It can be a little fiddly trying to slot it into the slim but once you have lined it up its fine. You could always buy a 3rd party casing for around £6 (I've seen them posted on HUKD if you do a search) that makes it easy to slot in if you want. You will obviously be voiding the warranty on the hard drive once you take it apart so if you can, try it in an old style Xbox360 to make sure its working.

is this useable on certain xboxs or all?

it says on the argos page that it does

even if it didn't you can transfer the data using a usb memory stick, just like someone in this thread has said they have done

The official upgrade isn't the only one you can use, please research before saying that.

Yes very Easy , there is 2 cases around the old HDD first one i just broke open ,second one i managed to use a normal philips screwdriver , under the case is a sata connection hard drive which slots into the expansion bay on the slim.
#36
Just received the hard drive, it is BNIB with transfer kit
#37
I bought a fat 120gb xbox HDD from Blockbuster the other day for £20.
Took it apart as the YouTube guide instructs, slotted into my 4gb slim
and got a E68 error code when I turned on the xbox.
The E68 is a HDD error code.
So I'm a bit stuck on this one, be careful folks.
