Shame i have already got an XBOX 360.

This is a hot deal, however I found haggling with Gamestation myself personally I had I believe a better deal, but thats all subjective to what games you like. Personally dealing with a store I was able to swap and change a package to suit as follows :

As for myself, I was going to go with the Play.com deal £289.99, but went armed into Gamestation (preferring to buy from bricks and mortar, for ease of warranty) showed them the Play offer (dont match internet deals), then showed them the same bundle for £299.99 at Choices deal.

Told me he could do me the Smackdown VS RAW 2007 Bundle pack, extra wireless controller, PGR 3, XBOX Live Arcade Vol 1, Gears Of War and Crackdown for £304.99.

Didnt want Smackdown, traded that in for £12, Got Rockstar Table Tennis for 99p (Used, £12.99)

Went back there, didnt like Crackdown (Totally uninspiring gameplay) expected trade in price, showed the guy my receipt though and he gave me the full £44.99 store credit! Got Viva Pináta and Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion (used but both mint) in the £25 or two for £40 deal.

So to summarise, spent £305.99, still have £4.99 store credit and have had an Xbox 360 Premium, extra wireless controller, PGR 3, Gears Of War, Rockstar Table Tennis, Xbox Live Arcade Vol 1, Viva Pináta Ltd and Elder Scrolls IV all for just £301. Oh and 2 months free Xbox Live Gold memberships, plus another 48 hours in a scratch card in Viva Pináta.

Xbox 360 premium, 5 games and Xbox Live Arcade, and an extra controller plus £4.99 store credit for £305.99!

My advice to anyone, print out whatever deals there are out there, try out your stores for price matching, unhappy about a game...get store credit or trade in. At least until there is a Xbox 360 price drop, the best deals out there are getting as much as you can hardware and software wise for your money. Ask me now rather than in six months time and currently I am extremely pleased!

does this deal work out betta than the boots deal then?

How do you get this down to £269.99? I've added everything to my basket but it's still coming up as £299.99. States it would be £269.99 in description, is this a typo?

The final price only shows in the Confirm part of checkout. Maybe you're looking in the wrong place?

I am in final review of order just before i get to checkout, have added virtua tennis instead of Forza Motorsport 3 and this has brought it down to £289.95. Maybe it has something to do with which game you add in the £30 game promotion?
#11
I get it now, the £269.99 does not include the extra game, adding this make it £299!

Are you adding an extra controller yourself? That's what I did and had the same problem, then realised that the extra controller is included in the entertainment pack ;)
#13
This is a much better deal if you don't bother with the "£30 for a top game" thing... a lot of them are under £30 anyway! Rather just pick up games 2nd hand.

Definitely. £269.99 for all that is a bargain... Best deal I've seen. Very tempted to pick it up. But I can't afford it >_<

It is a good deal, best around. I already have a premium system but it has been flashed so im awaiting my live ban :-( Only really need a core system as only want to replace console but with this deal may as well get the games as well instead of buying them separate seen as the Boots offer has sold out. Anyone interested in a premium flashed with 20 backup games
#17
Augh. I'm sitting on my hands/wallet waiting for the UK launch announcement of the new Elite 360 with the HDMI and bigger hard drive and you stick an offer like this under my nose! :)
#18
how much are you looking for the flashed console? pm with info. thanks
#19
Excellent. Thank You. Now ordered for my nephew
Heat and rep left.

quality heat and rep left cheers

I'm holding out getting a next gen console.

both the ps3 and 360's are coming down in price, I'm waiting a little longer, but I'm thinking the ps3 might just be the better option despite the extra cash ... we'll see I guess. Shame the exbox elite isn't coming out sooner over here, otherwise the prices of the old premiums would have crashed already!

The only thing stopping me is not having a HDTV yet. As soon as I get that sorted, I'll jump on the next good 360 deal that comes along :)
#23
The only thing stopping me is the fact I don't have a TV with sound at the mo, so as soon as I buy a new console I'll need to get a new TV!

Also can't decide whether to get a PS3 or 360. I'm pretty much defo gonna get a PS3 because of the games coming out on it in September/October and the fact that it is (and its a fact) a much better console technically speaking. Once the games start coming it'll be ace, but is it worth spending £250 odd quid for a console for about 3-4 months?

Get a 21" VGA monitor off ebay for £30 and sit close to the screen  it looks great, PC gamers being enjoying high def games for 1.5 decades ;-)

my parents got a 70" sony HDTV, I don't know how long I'll be able to wait after I get home from Uni until I snap and buy a console!!!

That is a pretty stupid comment TBH, what games does the PS3 have out in Sept/Oct that beat the 360? 360 has: Halo 3, GTA IV (Exclusive LOST from PS3), Mass Effect, Bioshock, Unreal Tournament 3, Pro Evo 7, Resident Evil 5, Fable 2 and many more which I'm sure others could add.

My point is that I don't see many PS3 exclusives (Metal Gear Solid is it). Yes the PS3 is technically better but not for its price tag and the graphics of games side-by-side on both platforms say otherwise for the moment!

Yeah but thats December, didnt wanna risk having to worry about all the KILLER PS3 titles out in December :giggle:

Damn the original poster. I haven't got the money for this but it just looked too good to be left alone. Sigh... Excellent price though and the best I've seen yet, although the Boots offer is pretty much the same however with this I guess you get two decent games for a tenner each. Ah well ordered it now! Looking forward to having a play, next on the list is that HD TV...

#36
This deal doesn't work anymore. Gone back to £289. :(
#37
I just noticed that, I was all ready to get this pack and noticed that the price has gone up. I am hoping that Play.com might come out with another combo deal to try and beat amazon. great deal still for £289 I guess, just kicking myself that I did not act sooner
#38
Exactly the same here. Just came home to order it and boom. Gone :\
