I think normal RRP of these is £69.99!

New Price with Game is £39.99 but £5 voucher as attached is valid to give total £34.99.

You can get these a bit cheaper elsewhere but these do not come with the full packaging as per this UK retail version.

I think people might be getting the wrong end of the stick (and thinking this post is just telling people they can use a £5 voucher to get money off the normal price).
Whilst this is true, the normal price from Game.co.uk is £39.99 (compared to £64.98 from Amazon).
So, it seems like a good deal from me (yes, it's always possible the drive is available a little cheaper from a less reputable seller, but at least with Game, you get Quidco and £1 worth of reward points, too).
Voted hot.

Hey, I wonder if the cold votes are anything to do with ps3 fanboys and their impending 80GB console ;-)

for someone who was looking for one of these recently..trust me..this is almost half the prices i was seeing.

good find. voted hot.

Well i'm happy you pointed it out - heat given!
Cheers :)

everywhere seems to be clearing these out - the 120gb drive is available for £75 also.

The 20gb will only get cheaper with the 60gb model being introduced as the lowest tier drive.

Wouldnt it be great if you could just pop in your own hard drive, could have a nice 500Gb one in there for £50. Good price though :) voted hot.

If you had a ps3 you could pop in a 320 gb for around £60 :)

You can put your own 120gb one in there for about £30. You'll need to either have an old 360 hd enclosure or install it internally. an ****, but better than paying MS's price for the 120gb model.

I thought you had to have a certain firmware for each of the 360 hard drives? I seem to remember something about dumping the hex and flashing it onto the old enclosure? Then the 360 just doesnt recognise the bigger hard drive? Or am I completely off? :?

^ yeah - you need a fw from an official 120GB HDD & flash it to the HDD - the HDD must also be a "Western Digital Scorpio BEVS-LAT SATA 2.5-inch" :)

NOT O.E.M, means this is a retail version i.e. with a fancy box and manual.
O.E.M usually means the component only i.e. no box (or plain box), no cables, etc.

Be aware that given that the HD will then have someone else's ID, there's nothing to stop MS from recognising this and acting against it in the future.

Game ships items from the UK, not the Channel Islands, and depending on the item is shipped with recorded delivery.

You do realise the HDD that you slot into the 360 is a 2.5" drive and not a 3.5" drive right? :)

Doesn't have to be a BEVS-LAT anymore - it works with all BEVS models (RST, UST etc)

or HERE (no hddss.bin included, but it's easily found on the interwebs.)

It's been nearly 15 months and three round of bannings and they haven't bothered about it now so I'd say the chances of them acting upon it are pretty small. If you are super paranoid you can always use dump the sectors from the HD of a friend who doesn't use live. Absolutely no risk at all then.

Does anyone know when the 60gb drive comes out if the 20gb drive price will fall?

Didn't look too conclusive to tell us that in the above article.
I got two 64mb memory cards and I got no space left to save games so I really need this 20gb drive.
Still unsure about getting it right now.
