great deal if it's nationwide.... but wont vote until this is confirmed.

Great deal if you can get it but I did the DIY method (bought the cheap bare drive 250Gb from Scan when the deal was posted on here).

For me the transfer cable seems less attractive since memory sticks became readable/writeable.

Doesn't this stop you from playing on Xbox Live?

Voted hot, £35 I'd definately have this if I can get it.

I voted HOT too but to answer your question, no it does not stop you playing on Xbox live.

Rumour says one day perhaps I can't but MS haven't bothered so far and I am not sure they could differeentiate between mine & official as a download changes the PC drive into a 360 drive which the 360 treats as official.

You pays your money and takes yer chance. If push comes to shove I still have the 120Gb HDD.

another store specific deal. its massively blantantly obvious too.

instead of 'boasting', buy as many as in stock, then sell to the people who dont have to travel 15,000 miles to get one. If its that good of a deal, people will buy so you wont be out of pocket.

Never say never.

Microsoft know there are multiple cloned hard drives out there, but they're being smart and know that banning them will seriously hurt their sales.

People always slate others for buying loads and then selling them off. Or are you suggesting they buy 100 HDD's and ship them at cost price? Great idea lol

You're obviously not the sharpest tool in the box. I was suggesting that yes they buy as many as they can, then sell them off in here. What's wrong with selling them to us at cost price ? Of course people would pay the postage too. Or are you one of those type that need to make a profit ?

It sounds so much better when you explain it. Are you slightly mad? What about the cost of carrying them from the shop and packaging them? If a deal is regional people often make requests that someone locally helps them out and does just that. This isn't a market place for people to sell goods really, bar the for sale/trade forums, it's more a "Hi I saw Batman for a fiver" kind of affair.

I just want to add - how much does this cost to post and package? at what price-point does it stop being a deal? can I afford to buy 10 HDD's and just wait for them to sell for cost? There's quite a lot of considerations to be made before undertaking what you're suggesting, far too many for the OP to have taken account of whilst doing his shopping.

i know you need a transfer cable to move the data from 1 old drive to another older style drive. I think it will be the same with the newer drives.

Holy shizzle, this would solve a lot of problems, for not a lot of cash for me. I'd love to know which store this was found at....
