Does the kinect come in the same box as the xbox 360? because I wanted the kinect for my old xbox 360, So I need the plug for it, Thanks.
#7
Tis true, my local confirmed the larger stores will be allocated these, best check before you make journey especially. Bargain if you can get one.
#8
It doesn't come with the PSU needed for the older xbox. It is a bundled package & not 2 seperate packages.

#10
so do the newer xbox not have the big brick transformer thing then?
May get myself a new one if so and swap the hard drives to save some space
#11
Superb cheers...just picked one up from Swansea, Morfa. There was only one on the shelf and the lady said she didn't know if there were any more out the back and she would only go and look if I wanted another one!

Bargain thanks!

The power supply cable can be purchased over the phone from the uk xbox support site

Cost £32.39 inc VAT
Hope it helps :)
#13
my local says they have 4 in stock but they are showing as £249.99 asked him to reserve me one and do a double check on the price.

Just as this pops up the zavvi order turns up! what they like for returns via the ebay outlet? will i have to pay postage?

katya1971
asked him to reserve me one

Wow, did he agree? They don't normally do this on promos like this. I'm lucky as my friend works there and has grabbed one for me but reserving should be a no-no.
#15
I got one reserved in Kingsbury branch they only have 3 left
#16
Just phoned my local and they scanned at £249.99 so maybe store specific...

The new slims still come with a large power 'brick' compared to a massive power brick on the old one ;):D

Incase you didn't know you'll have to take your existing hard drive apart to be able to slot it into the new slim's hdd bay (and pack it with foam to stop it flapping about in the hole)

Yes you can if your laptop has a hdmi socket, you might be able to do it with a vga cable too, haven't tried that myself though.
Or just find yourself a spare pc monitor.

You would need to purchase a capture device (you can get cheap usb ones to archive your video tapes etc) so that you could feed the composite or s-video signal into your laptop for it to be displayed.

The HDMI socket would be for video output only, same as the VGA port.

probably not, as you would require a monitor input of some sort, and laptops only have outputs!
