First time i've submited a deal, and not sure if this deal has already been posted. It's part of the 20% off gaming at Tesco promotion.

http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.209-4025.aspx

Awesome price! I just ordered the 4gb model on it's own for £119.20 but it's out of stock already.

"Sorry, this is temporarily out of stock"

omg! It had only been up for 5 minutes :| Sorry about that. It might come back in stock though. The 250gb one went out of stock and then they had more stock come in.

EDIT* They have the 4gb model in stock with Harry Potter Lego years for an extra £5, so £124 for the console and game. I'll change the original deal.

Oh I see, I misread his post slightly. No, the hackers haven't released hacked firmware for the new slimline as M$ has added much more security to the disc drive I believe. I'm sure they will release something this year though.

Not really into pirating games though to be honest, online is far too much fun for that! If you want to run pirated games, pick up a cheap old Xbox of the classifieds at AVForums or the forsale/trade section here.

I know I should do the research but quick question, I have the old 360, brought an external 120 gb hard drive, I know it will fit in this, but will it format the drive meaning i lose all my games saves etc like the PS3 if I do this?

Why can't here just be one thread saying "20% of gaming at Tesco"
Hot Deals has been mullered by this copycat posts all day.

There was.
But, this always happens, and to be fair, sometimes I miss things that other people pick up on so give them a break! :D

If you get a 360S, just open the case/enclosure for the old hard drive, take out the drive & slot it into the HDD bay on the new console. No formatting required.

Great deal - and if you're not interested in the game, CEX giving £10 cash or £13 trade in on it (http://uk.webuy.com/product.php?sku=5051892011525) so effectively knocks another tenner off the price.... NICE, heat from me.

got one for approx £99.

The SEL at the store was very poor with no mention of any reduction and the assumption that the staff made were that the 20% had to be taken of the £124 price and had to do it manually, I do not feel I had the right to change their assumption :-)

.....................Also got the Kinect for £80 - happy days!

Iv always been pondering upon whether to buy one, specially the 360 Slim. Me and my friends play on the PS3 on Bad Company 2. I don't mind playing the same game lone-wolf style. But im trying to know if the 360 control pad is better to play with on BC2 compared to the PS3 control pad....Plus for around £100 for a 360-S 4gb isnt a bad price either, specially now that its got wifi built in.

Dodgy fecker, some people really take the p*ss weren't the shelf prices cheap enough for you. IMHO people like you deserve bad karma.

There was no mention of a 20% reduction in any of my local Tesco stores either as the prices already had 20% deducted, so who mentioned 20% off to the staff dealing with your purchase -YOU?

You seem proud of it IMHO you should feel ashamed

Nope not ashamed at all (not as much as you feel like preaching and condescending in a forum that prides itself on getting the best deal possible) and in fact what I should have done was let the deal through and then complain they did not take 20% off- they would have refunded me the diferrence and under their T&C I would have asked for double the differrence - I feel ashamed that I did not take this route as opposed to just asking for the 20%.

Lets take this presumption that 20% is already taken off- how can you tell when all the labels are still white as opposed to their normal yellow ones they use for promotions and also there is only one price as opposed to one before and one with discount price. How is Mr Average supposed to know? They still had some of the price lables at full price e.g PS3 160@ approx £250 - so clearly the question had to be asked and they checked with three managers and all said that 20% had to be taken off manually.

Bad Karma ? normally people who spout that are the ones who do not have their life in order and blame others for their woes. But each to their own and let Kismet takes its destiny (_;)
