We bought this deal yesterday after going into pc world, comet, currys, game etc as thought it was the best package and price for us. Comet, Currys and PC world would price match for us but as they only do set packages the games weren't right and they couldn't swap them as pre bundled. The 4g box didn't matter as we already have one 360 and like above said you can buy extra memory quite cheaply if needed.

You can have the above without Dance central for £249.97 or add an extra game to get it for the above £269.97. Choices are Dance Central, Joy Ride, Kinectimals. We went for Dance Central then also used the free £10 voucher we got to buy Joyride for £16.24 as its currently reduced in Argos. This deal expires Tuesday according to Argos.

The 4GB isn't a HDD it's flash so you'll be adding memory by getting a 250GB HDD!

didn't see your post shane2010

I'm on the look out for a good 250GB deal for Xmas.

I think my best option is the 250BG Xbox and Kinect for £299.98 from Argos.

I've got a discount card that give me 10% off which takes it down to £270.

Don't think I'll get better. I need Dance Central for my daughter though.

I don't think you can get Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports, and Dance Central for less than 269 at Tesco? If so, can you post the details, as that would be a better deal than this one,and Tesco clubcard points.

Shame these deals don't include the bigger 250 GB HDD.

£70 from Amazon........ don't buy anything BUT the official Microsoft one (or it won't work.....).....

Pretty much ANY 2.5" harddrive will work inside of it. Ignore the above post.

I stand corrected............... As I own a 4gb 360 and am looking for a 250gb hard drive then could you provide a link to one that will just slot into postion (as the official Microsoft one does) - without having to 'mod' or butcher the console ( and thus voiding the guarantee)....? Thanks.[/quote]

Personally, I ripped out the old one from my old Xbox HD (that clips onto the top) and chucked that inside of it.

Any 2.5" as far as I know, you'll need to format it with a piece of software on the computer before using it though.

The other option is to buy an external hard drive and just plug it into the USB of the Xbox.

I was of the understanding that this is limited so you can only use 16gb no matter what USB drive you plug in?

You need to scroll down the argos page to offers and then add what offer you would like to your basket. Its still on at the moment.

OK went and bought this bundle with the goal of using Kinect with my existing console and selling on the bits I don't need - namely the xbox. However, the bundled Kinect does not just plug into the USB socket, as I thought, but it has a special orange plug that requires a power adapter.

Where can one of these be purchased?
#20
You need to click on the red offers link and select the Free Kinect Sports (and Dance Central if you want it) then at check out it zeros Kinect Sports and you get Dance Central for £19.99.

I bought 4gb console on a great deal in sainsburys unfortunately now expired.

However I added a 250gb WD blue hard drive in that cost me £27 from ebuyer. Very easy to do if you have some computer experience as you will need to flash the drive to have it recognised in the xbox. I use a bit of foam to add support to the drive inside the xbox but u can buy an enclosure for the drive so it looks and fits like the official 250gb one from deal extreme for about £6 they also sell enclosures with drives already installed so you can just plug it in and dont have to mess with flashing the drive.

details & flash needed are here
