Cheapest brand new bundle I can find for my kids for christmas at 219, not a refurb or an ebay outlet, but collect at store from Comet. Amazon = £245.

Includes the Xbox 360 and Kinect Sensor and kinect adventures. Cheapest elsewhere I could find was £240 and its £245 at Amazon - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Console-Drive-Kinect-Sensor-Adventures/dp/B003UTUBRA

+ 3% Quidco = Cashback of £6.57 meaning this actually cost you £212.43!!! (thanks MinstrelMan)

3% Quidco too...... HOT

I saw this on the Chrimbo Gadget show the other night...it looks better than the PS3 'version' but it seems you need to be able to stand 10 feet away from the screen for it to work properly! I'd hazard a guess that a lot of peeps living room configurations won't allow for this very easily so might be worth checking out to avoid festive frustrations!!

Good deal - does the voucher code work for an extra 5%?

Yeah - MS haven't allowed for the fact that houses in the US are generally bigger than the UK. Getting a clear 10 foot space is going to be a challenge for a lot of people... there'll be a few trashed livingrooms this Christmas.

Actualy, the PS3 version is very good. Granted, the light up balls look quite silly, but they are very sensitive and do replicate the controller movement really well. All we need is a few decent games for it; Resident Evil move edition was so frustrating

This can be had for under £200.

If you have a Virgin credit card, just order £220 worth of vouchers, Virgin will charge you 10% less so it should come to £198.

User the collect from store option and pay using your vouchers :)

Good deal for the 4gb, shame the 250gb is still £300...
#16
very tempting but 4GB just isn't enough for me. Most good download games are at least half a GB.

hopefully the 250GB ones will be cheaper after xmas. fingers crossed
#17
As previous poster mentioned 4gb is paltry for this, download a few games or movies and you'll soon need more storage and end up having to buy a bigger drive.

Not a bad price but many people are being duped with Kinect, nobody in the shops is explaining just how much room you need to make this work properly. Forget it in a kids bedroom!! Read the reviews of the Kinect games before buying any as most are utter rubbish.

You can use any old xbox 360 hard drive and upgrade the 4GB.
Just in case you didn't know. :)

I'm sure someone has :|

We got the old 60GB pack for £29 from Argos. My son had the 3 months live and we upgraded the HDD. Happy all round

Yup undo 4 screws outer and 4 screws inner and remove drive, far easier than swapping out a PS3 drive especially if you want to keep the same profile as everything else on the drive is all still there.

You can also get these 250gb drives for around £36

250gb hard drive

What a moron, they wanted to know how to adapt a 360 HDD, not PS3.
No PS3 owner would need to ask that, because it's in the PS3 manual.
:p:p:p:p
plus they don't say they have an existing 360, so saving profiles is completely irrelevant as in that case, changing the PS3 HDD would be far easier than the "taking an old 360 HDD apart" method...
fanboy post of the day award goes to.......

so you editing the post to remove the obvious fanboy comment makes me look foolish.
Why don't you just think before you post next time.
Plus, no one actually mentioned the PS3 HDD, except you.

Could anyone that's bought this tell me if the bundle comes in one big box or if it's all individual items?

Just thinking of buying this and keeping the Kinect for myself while selling the console on eBay.

Thanks!

One big box I believe.

There's never an Xbox or PS3 deal on here without the kids coming out to play. Worst thing that could happen due to the snow is closing the damn schools.
#27
Hmm, this is very tempting...
#28
Tempted but the space needed for the kinect thing worries me, would it be reasonable grounds for a refund if it didn't work. Max distance we could realistically get between the sensor and play area is about 6ft. Does the kinect thing have to be positioned centrally by the way or can it be places anywhere?

I was watching a kid play this in Tesco the other night and he was a max 4-5ft away and it was working perfectly.

Thanks OP ordered for a Xmas gift.
#31
It all comes in one box roughly the size of an old xbox 360 box. Just received mine today from zavii_outlet.
#32
You'll need to rent a warehouse for 2 player games.
One with no windows or skylight if you want to play during the day, the sensor doesn't like direct sunlight.

And I'm an XBOX fanboy, so in no way biased :|.

Good deal! For £328, you can get the 250GB version, with Kinect Adventures, Kinectimals and JoyRide! Free delivery too!
#34
hmm, looks like a very good deal. Though I am going to wait for the next Zavvi-ebay deal before pulling the trigger.

Ebay for cheap?

PLEASE REMEMBER TO TRY BEFORE YOU BUY!

Some reports that it works at 3ft, some at 10ft, it really depends on your room and the lighting etc., so if you have a friend that has kinect ask them to bring it over just in case.
#39
I have had one since june
You need 10 foot really
#40
oh and its no good trying
as its in kiosk mode and only tracks 1 person
it allows you much closer than in normal mode

And there's no way for you to set kiosk mode
as you need a special tool
