and before anyone asks call of duty black ops is not in the deal.

Any idea which games definitely are included in this offer as I went into my local store earlier and they said there's no current offers on 4GB 360 and the previous offer expired last week? The console scanned at £149.99 on it's own, and any games were full price on top of this.
#4
I know fallout new vegas,fifa11 and the 2 i got and there were more but i can't think of the name of them. There was no sign just an advert loop on there promo screens and when i saw that i went to the desk and asked about it. She told me the offer must be new so checked for me.

Brilliant - thanks! I pass a Sainsburys on the way to work so will try and get in there early!! Looks like Fallout and MOH are the best games to sell to CEX! Do we know what other games are on offer?
#8
Cheers OP, bought one tonight, £149 with FIFA 11 and Fallout New Vegas. The other games available with this offer are those mentioned in op's description plus WWE Smackdown Vs Raw. Store still had very low stock of 4GB console though following last week's similar offer so might not be that easy to get the offer in all stores. Offer is only being shown on the instore TV screens there's various offers and new releases showing on a loop, had to show staff as they weren't aware of offer!
#9
Thanks dave, got mine today with Fifa and Blood Stone, had to insist someone had got the deal earlier today. Anyone who's interested, you can get the 250 gb with one game for £199.99.
#10
Just as a heads up, CEX have dropped their buying prices recently to £17 for FIFA and £24 for MOH I beleive.

However, after leaving there disappointed I popped accross the road into Gamestation & Game and they both offered me £52.50 for the pair so I was much happier ;)
#11
Got the deal - thanks! Got Fallout and Smackdown - hopefully the CEX prices will be the same as on their website (£26 each).

The lady seemed surprised of the offer when both games went through for free!

Have no idea I'm afraid! It was 8am when I got in and was rushing to work!

I didn't see the offer - and the lady working there certainly didn't know of the offer - but it all went through very easily and I was out in 5mins.

ok, so 360 4gb, then picked up 2 of the games mentioned & it went thru for 149.99. i'll give it a go.

just picked this up from Cheadle Hulme. Preston store didnt have a clue about it until I showed them this thread.

Cheadle had it advertised as 149.99 with either FIFA 11, Forza or Fallout. I asked them to try scanning James Bond & Fallout & it went through. She also said that Smackdown/MOH would go through aswell.

Offer is on until 25/11/10

Got this a few weeks back with Medal Of Honour and Fifa 11 brill price.

Saw this instore yesterday.

Looks like a good deal.

A great deal if you need a replacement console.
Console works out £102 if you trade in the games & CEX.
#20
can you use a hard rive from a 60gb console on this ?
#21
Don't know as the 4gb will cut it much with this console though. I got the 120gb Elite in July and already I have 16gb used up and I don't have that many different games!!
#22
how long is this offer on and don't they have any offers on the 250gb model
#23
it ends today, and they have offer of 250gb with one game for £199

Yes you can, as that is exactly what I did :)
First you'd need to take it out of its enclosure using a combination of T7/T10 screwdrivers and then its simply a case of opening the hatch at the bottom and plugging it in.

I have an Elite 120GB (something like that) ... and its hardly ever used because its sooo damn noisy, preferring instead to stick with my PS3 for general gaming. However, since CoD has been released I've been playing it on the Xbox as its a better version .. but I sooo hate the noise! Now, would I be able to use the hard-drive from my current system and plug it into this .. or has everything changed and this would no longer be possible?

Also, I'm thinking of getting this today, with Fifa 11 and Fall out vegas, run over to Argos, trade in Fall out for £32, buy COD for an extra £13. Console with Fifa 11 and COD for £163 :)

The only concern I now have from the little research I have just been doing in the background is that (and there are youtube videos to show) there is a pretty hefty gap when the bare-bones drive is 'inserted' into the unit.. kind of knock your system a little and well, who knows what might happen. Someone mentions inserting some 'foam' (like the hard bits you get from packages) in there to settle it down. Not sure what to do .. this 360 has all the same ports as the 250GB version doesn't it? - i.e all of the audio and HDMI connectors (exactly the same?) ..

Are there any offers for the 250 GB HDD Model with a game for less than £200?

Thanks thats made my decision easier for my purchase then, does the drive need to empty of any content before doing this?

if you plug it in as is it may be a bit unstable and I would recommend either holding it in place with foam, or a neater way is to buy this from dealextreme - clicky

Nope, it worked straight away for me.
As viva had mentioned, there will be space between the drive and the bay itself, but the connection seems secure enough that I am not concerned about it.

Have you ever tried installing the games to the 360 hard drive? Once done (takes a few mins per game) you never have to endure the drive noise and the machine is very quiet.

Are you installing the games onto the hard drive, I have the Elite and only find noise an issue, a BIG issue when playing the game off the CD. When installed its fine.
