thats a bit more like it! I expect they'll be coming in at the £45 mark before too long though.

Good price if you have an arcade.

I know you can transfer data with a data cable, but do you need 2 xboxs to do it or can you just do it with one. I have a 20 gb at the moment.

Only one Xbox 360 is required, the migration cable goes into the rear USB port and then into the HDD.

Possible 5% discount?

Good price, 120GB is still worth a look though if you can get it for under £70

Exactly, I've already offered my old 20GB, the 3 months live & headset to my brother for £30-35 to which he agreed so that's already sorted !

Also can you store songs on the hard drive by the way? I play them at the moment off my usb stick but its a bit annoying, I would prefer to have them on the console?

you can, but you need to rip them from a music CD (not an mp3 cd)

PROBLEM! The transfer cable only works on 120GB HDD's, you need a memory card to transfer saves/XBL accounts and then transfer licenses on the xbox.com website, once licenses transferred you can redownload everything you've already paid for.

So does that mean that I cant transfer all my demos. Not got anything else on there apart from my account and demos.
Does it work if transferring from a 20 gb to a 120 gb?
also how much is a transfer cable?
Thanks

error.

Hot-no doubt about it.
#15
should it be a problem? Remember you are transfering saves to another HD, the console is still the same.
#16
the Data Transfer Kit is fine with the 60gb hard drives, I ordered one about a month ago from Microsoft when I got a new Premium and the transfer from 20gb to 60gb was fine.

Dude, get your facts right before spreading rubbish. The cable works fine on any HDD

Deal voted hot. Better than the last person who posted this for the RRP of £60.

#19

#20
Great find. Ordered as a crimbo pressie to myself. The headset, 3 months and 20GB will go straight on the 'Bay. H+R added.

Thanks for your p r i c k l y response!

I got the 60GB last weekend and did plenty of research as I was planning on using the transfer kit, the consensus was no, so I got a memory card, wish I'd known last week!

maybe there are different versions of the transfer kit?
#22

Hope these are still around in January as I will need a new 12 month live and the 60GB HDD will do me some help. Also might be cheaper in January sales. Heat and rep added.

Old versions shouldnt work as the 60gb wasnt out, but newer versions should work.

you can transfer from 20gb to 60gb as long as you have the right cd to go with the cable(both from microsoft) atm theres two different cd's one for the 60gb and one for the 120gb,im sure they'll be end up putting the drivers on one cd soon enough though if not already
