You will need two a size 10 Torx for removing the hard disk, and a size 6 Torx for opening the chassis to start with.

Tried stores located near Ealing & Wimbledon no luck anyone found any stores in or around London? I would want to sell the 3 month and the headset and Ethernet cable as I am only after the 60gb hard drive seeing as the 3 months sell for £12-£15 on ebay and headsets about £5 very good deal to be able to store 10 more games : ) I use my profile of a memory unit so I don't need a transfer kit.

Just had an idea what stores do pricing competition/ beating?

Which location are you? more people who post what stores that tried and the general location the more chance we have of finding stores with many in stock :) just thought I would pass that on but yes if I find any I can get to I would be more than happy to post one out.
#32

Where can i get a transfer kit to go from my old 20GB to 60GB?

When my DS did this, I phoned MS and paid, I think about £13 inc delivery, it did the job nicely & then I sold the transfer kit on EBAY for £2 more!

Just found the link http://emea.microsoftstore.com/UK/en-GB/Microsoft/Xbox-360-Data-Migration-Cable Looks like the price has gone up - now showing as £14.99

You don't need a data migration kit anymore. An update was released a couple of months ago enabling any USB storage device to act as a data transfer cable providing it has enough memory of course.
Just plug it in, go to 'my xbox' and you will find it under storage options. It requires formatting to an xbox compatible mode at which point you just move all the data onto the USB. Then you just unplug the smaller hard drive, plug the other one in and copy the data from the USB to your new HDD. Job done.

No excuse now to only have a 20GB system or Arcade/Core 360. Not to mention you're also getting 3 months Live and a spare headset

Saying that though, totally out of stock in Glasgow area
