Toitering is a legit word according to the urban dictionary site.

Toitering: Lingering on the bowl far longer than it takes to extrude feces.

You've been in that bathroom for 2 hours! Put down the PSP and stop toitering!

No wonder they are toitering if they have stock that old. Perhaps they should offer it to a museum first.

just to clear up that doesn't affect warranty

provided you have POP from hmv then it all gets handled from the (german) microsoft repair centre

Mine went to Germany, and I waited 7 forever days before I got mine back. Cant argue with that in my opinion...

id avoid the 20gb or 60gb ones.......rrod and locks a plenty my 20gb laste 2 years before rrod, replacement under rrod warranty then that failed, so did the next, etc......had 7 xboxs in one year....currently have a 120gb elite and new slim 250gb....the new one is so much better....quieter, runs coller....nice touch controls, nicer looking...may sell the old one on fleabay but might not be worth for £50, rather keep it

anyway still a great deal

Jasper's are the best Xbox 360s. They got the return rate down to about 4% with those, probably the most reliable of all 360s. If you can still find old stock you should get 3 years guarantee on those too. The slim is a much cheaper design and while improved in many ways Microsoft only offer a 1 year warranty for it. The jasper will work constantly with no stability issues even through a heatwave summer, the slim will switch off in the same circumstances. Also the external hard drive of the older series is less prone to hard drive failure as the slims is more effected by the hot/cold cycle of use due to being internal. Personally I think if you can find a jasper based 360 its the best one to have. Nothing wrong with the slim though. In all fairness apart from the zephyr and xenon 360s most 360s have acceptable reliability. I've had 360s from the very beginning and I've gone through about 7 models, six were zephyr/xenon models and the falcon based model that failed was a optical drive failure which can happen to any 360. 75% failure rate for those early models, 10% failure rate with falcons, 4% with jasper.

There is some info here that's quite interesting.

http://nofussreviews.com/survey-results-2011

Its user submitted so may not be totally accurate but its a good indication. Seems contradictory compared to other sources of information I suspect the margin of error is probably quite high with these sort of reports but its a good rough guide.

Jasper FTW... Had mine for about 2years now, and not a single problem!... and those LiteON drives are the best, compared to the rest...

Maybe someone who bagged one can tell us the mfc date and dash version?

I'll buy one of someone for £80 if its brand new and sealed, thats £30 profit ;)
PM me if interested...

Unfortunately seems they don't take phone calls on a Sunday. Was going to have a ring round to see if I could hunt one down. Still a great deal if you can find one.

They have 60gb 360's in the HMV Durham branch but were priced at £99.99 for some reason.

They were also selling off the limited edition 250gb final fantasy consoles for £149.99 if anyone is interested and lives locally.
#25
Tried my local HMV (Uxbridge) but nothing.

The only old style XBox consoles they had were used (replay) and the cheapest one of those was £90!

If they come with pes 2009 then they will be released around late 2008. Late 2008 was near the launch of the new dash. I think they might have the old one.

100% certain yes (provided new/sealed and not updated). Microsoft had stopped manufacturing the 60GB bundles by the time the JTAG exploit was revealed so they were all out in the wild by the time the patch rolled out. So any 60GB bundle still sealed in it's box is guaranteed JTAGable and worth a hell of a lot more than 50 quid!!

Wish I could get one, but not really very close to london. Need one to replace my JTAG!!

Anyone know if a 60gb from 2009 is jtaggable? They have them in my local HMV and I checked under the box and the year is 2009 but has adverts for PES2008 on the back so might be early 2009. Might check the HMV in Newcastle.
#33
i just noticed this thread now! has anyone noticed HMV selling this in the last day or so?

Looking for one of these badly with the old dashboard so I can Jtag it, I will offer £100 for one shipped to me in Wales.

PM if interested, Thanks.
