I just got this delivered, just another option to get free tv. I used Empirestores as the code below gives you more discount on electricals,as other codes only give 10%.

The x box premium is £199,but the beauty is,use the code xx388 to get this price £169.15,then use the code ZQ999 for the free tv,as you can use both codes,the order must be done by telephone,but I did this and had no probs at all ( I am an existing customer ) just told them recieved them in leaflets, they will put you through to another person to finish sale,but this is just to try and sell you insurance.

Another code to try is xx850,pay nothing till September 2009 on £150 spend or over. ( not tested this though ) but is on the same leaflet I recieved.

Initially they told me they could only accept 1 voucher, I told the woman on the phone that a friend of mine used both, she clicked a few buttons and said that she'd got it to accept the two :thumbsup:

Here's what happened to me: I went through menu system for new customers wishing to place a first order, got through to first person, "my system isn't working for new customers, can you call back please?" - Gee, thanks very much.

So, I called back, got transferred to some priority line for setting up new accounts, lady took down all sorts of details to set up a pay-as-you-go type account (rather than a credit account), then asked me where I got the codes from, I said "from a friend on the Internet", was then told, "oh well, if they're not issued to you then you can't use them", too honest I know, but then she said "and even if you did manage to use them we can cancel them later 'cos there's a lot of codes flying around on the Internet and that you know... and anyway, they're not valid for a cash account, you'd have to set up a credit account... and even if you did the codes still wouldn't be valid" etc. etc.

So, after explaining that the deal just isn't a good deal without the offer, I cancelled the account (which involved being transferred to yet another person) and thought to myself "what a waste of time, and on a cheeky 0844 rip-off number too!", so sadly this one's cold for those who aren't existing customers and who get the wrong operator on the other end of the line... maybe I need to get the Mrs. to have a go - perhaps set up an account on one call, then call back as an existing customer...

I got the exact same problem............. I feel there will be a string of cancellations! Also as empirestores is owned by LITTLEWOODS they will most likely deduct the voucher back at a future date!

ORDER WITH CAUTION THAT IS THE ONLY ADVICE I CAN GIVE.

The offer for the 15pc off is for new customers however the free TV is for existing customers....

If you want to be stinged order away I guess, but this is a SUPER HOT deal though!

right, not one to give in i called back and reordered, i only have a cash account so asked for a credit one:) also got tranfered around the system with a monotonous amount of questions, got my account got my order in delivery Tuesday ! lol on spread 52 weeks payment . :thumbsup:

I just had the problem of wouldnt let me use the vouchers as was setting up a new account and they were not applicable, I have just thought though at Toys R Us the same xbox comes with 3 games for £169, you could then sell the 3 games and get the Xbox for something like £100.

Not a great deal but I hope it helps someone.

hi, new to this great place, i phoned with an order, but cos i did not have product code had to phone back, as initial call was to register,, they then accepted both codes and said x box would be here tues but cud not give me a date for tv? and i paid by mastercard,, getting worried now they wont honour this? oh and by the way did they try to flog me extras????????????????????????????????

XX388 is for a 5% reduction - the operator applied this successfully.

When I said I wanted to apply another code for the free tv, the operator said only one code could be applied to the product :x

Also, for those who are going to try and order this item, i have sourced a direct dial number for Empire: 01924 743648 (Orders, Enquiries & Customer services options), I hate 0844/0870 numbers, they are a complete rip off.

I found that the guy I spoke to went to tell me that but when I told him the telly code he was cool with it. I think they assume your gonna use 2 discount codes. Just make sure to tell them that its the TV code and all should be good. Either that or they just mardy ******s! :P
