This is a great deal and i suspect it won't last for long, as most retailers sell this for £70 but i suspect this new lower price is only served as a clearance due to the nearby release of the 120gb harddrive, which will be release within a week or 2.

This offer is great for anyone that has bought a Core Xbox 360 or if they just want some extra space but don't want to spend £30 quid on a 512mb memory card.

It's now available for just £44.99 and Woolworths are temporarily offering free delivery on cd's, dvd's and games, which seems to include console accessories as well and don't forget to go through Quidco to receive 5% cashback, making this a great deal at just £42.49 all inclusive.

Hope that helps. :)

Great price:thumbsup: ! Voted hot.

to the ebay people... I wouldn't bother, with the RRP of this due to drop anyway.

You could be left with a hard drive that is worth what you paid for it

Voted hot though!

Tried to sign up on website to see if there was a store near me that had it in stock for collection. They want you to give your card details on the registration page...and its not even a secure connection!

Anybody know if the price instore will be the same?
#7
Good price - my current one is nearly full (only 2GB left !), so may look into getting another one at this price. There are rumors of a larger hard drive on it's way to allow the imminent downloading of movies and television programmes via XBox Live, and this may - as mentioned above - result in a price reduction in the 20GB drive. Even so, at this price, at this time, this is a hot deal.

Can anyone get any of the discount vouchers to go through? it just goes to a blank screen for me?

EDIT: Not going to a blank screen but not taking any money off??

To the person saying that the website isnt secure - I just checked and it certainly is. As you proceed to checkout the site switches to https and I checked the security certificate and it is in date and valid. Nothing wrong here. Should be fine.

Great deal, this website has cost me loads since I started using it - I keep on promising myself "This is the last purchase for a while" and next day there is something else!!!

They did this just before xmas, think it was £34.99 and they said it was a price error.

some questions which may have been answered...

can you buy ths and upgrade the hard drive by swapping it out for another one?
can you use USB powered drives to plug into the USB port on the XBOX360?
thanks

Quick question - how can 20GB for £45 be a bargain? Have I fallen into some sort of time warp and gone back to 1995?

Well if you could buy a 20gb harddrive for a console that never existed back then, then yes but it would be a bit pointless having a harddrive for something specific. :giggle:

The harddrive is good value because it's a specific product, so it won't work for anything else and because of that, the prices have remained at a premium and other stores charge between £65-£70 for it. :)

Ordered 1 cheers.

Says on quidco Enter promotional code ISOAugust07 at checkout to receive your additional 10% discount!

Tried it, said successfully applied but price remained same? Oh well worth a try!

Which is a joke tbh consdiering its a 2.5" sata drive which costs about £50 if that! they are charging over £70 for a plastic box and the fact its formatted for an xbox.

I wish someone would make an unofficall one that worked on live.etc

Cmon mircosoft if sony can allow you to use a standard HDD in PS3 how about it for the 360?
#21
That's still some serious markup though - if they sold it for say 90 quid, considering the bulk pricing they'd get, ms could still make a nice profit. I guess it's possible they might reduce the price later once sony no doubt release a larger hdd.

I also did this yesterday off that site. Then found out the 360 can only play a few formats of video :(

And as I was going away next week for 2 weeks was going to put some films on my external USB drive to watch on the 360.
:(:( but can't
Unless I convert a lot of gb to WMV :(

Is this only suitable for the basic Xbox core model only? I can't see a use for this for the Premium console because the hard drive is already used!!

Am I being daft?

Thanks

It's suitable for any xbox 360, i mean it's only necessary if you need extra memory, as the Core (0 memory) has no memory whatsoever and you may want the harddrive if you're running low on space on your current harddrive from the premium (20gb harddrive, as in the offer) but don't want to buy an Elite version (120gb harddrive) for the bigger memory capabilities and have no use for HD for the time being.

for those looking to get another / bigger hard drive i wouldn't bother getting the 360 version . you might as well get a portable usb hard drive used for pc's and stick it in a usb port.

works just as well, plus you get ALOT more space for your cash
