Wouldn't advise using this code, they often don't honour the discount or come after you for the money. BE WARNED!

COLD horror story after horror story with this company.

i wonder what woolworths are charging for this in there sale, anyone know?
#11
is this first order only or exsisting customers !!!
#12
Thanks OP. Just ordered the Nintendo Wii with sports pack for £129 including delivery over the phone on 0800 0515168 using the £50 discount code. Wooooo Hooooo!!!
#13
It's the same code as posted for littlewoods, which turns out only for people who have reffered a friend.

Knowing what these companies can be like with codes I would be careful, they either don't honor or charge back to your account at a later date.

Having said that I have also been successful in the past.....guess you just never know.
#14
We've had the Littlewoods code 'out of the blue', we haven't referred anyone or done anything. Unfortunately there's nothing I could find in Littlewoods that I would want to use the voucher on, but if Marshall Ward are doing the same, I guess I should start looking again.
#15
My sis used this code with littlewoods yesterday and it worked and I have just placed my order with marsh and they accepted the code. I told them my sister had reffered me. Thanks H & R added.

I posted this code a few days ago, the code i received from Marshall Ward wasn't for referring a friend, as I haven't done this, it was in a letter saying as I haven't shopped with them for a while they would like to give me £50 off a £100 spend.

I've just phoned up and got myself an Xbox 360 Arcade for £79. Thanks OP :)
#18
Can you pay for this outright then, or do you have to open an account?? Dont they ask you where you got the code from?
#19
******* I would be very careful. I have a friend who works for the online cat. He thinks that they are purposely letting silly voucher codes work. Example ZG674 at littlewoods which is 50 pounds off. So buy a game for 52.00 and after voucher thats 2.00 for COD WAW!!!! But what they will do is let you accept/ Refund the discount so your happy on your statement and then after xmas 14 days money back or whatever they will check everyone and take your money!! I have spoken to citizens advice and trading standards and they can do that. Also says in their terms and conditions. I am just sending my items back now. Some of you may be lucky and slip under. But its a nasty risk if it goes pear shape.

Its cheeky but they will be happy everyone is buying from them.
#20
what about paying on your credit card then once the original fee is on there tell you credit company you lost your card, they will issue you an new one. When they come back for the rest they cant simple as.
#21
"Sorry, this promotion code cannot be applied to your order."
#22
Thats a good idea. I tried that and spoke with natwest. As you have honoured the contract, i.e brought the goods they have to honour the transaction. Loosing your card and hault your account wont stop this.

They can also class this as fraud. So they can take you to small claims and win easily. Or send letters to your address and bayliffs come round! or your credit rating messed around. Trust me Ive looked everywhere and its not good. Just hope people slip under.

For those who ordered...just a quick scary reminder.

09 November 2007 For Immediate Release: Littlewoods

£25 Discount Voucher Code Issue

Further to the recent issue of the abuse of a specific £25 discount code; the Company acknowledges that while we were entitled to take a firm stance against this code abuse, as supported by Liverpool Trading Standards, the fact that we have done so has caused concern amongst some of our customers.

As a gesture of goodwill, on this occasion the Company has agreed it will take no further action to claim the £25 from those people who were not entitled to the discount. In addition, for those customers who have already paid the £25, it will make a refund of this amount. Any additional related charges will be refunded, or reversed if not yet paid.

Customers have the responsibility to ensure they are using a discount for which they are eligible. Our terms & conditions (attached) make it clear that promotional codes must only be used by customers who qualify for them. These can be viewed on the website.

The Company confirms that no default information will appear at the credit reference agencies as a result of the action it has taken.

If in doubt customers should only use discount codes which have been given to them directly by the Company, and should check the conditions which apply to them.

Littlewoods Terms & Conditions relating to discount vouchers

2.3 Where you have redeemed a promotional code or any other offer ("a Code") against your order, acceptance of this order is subject to our verifying that the Code has been issued to you personally, that you comply with all the terms of the offer and qualify for the Code. In the event that the Code has not been issued to you for your personal use or you do not qualify for the offer, the price of the order will be adjusted notwithstanding any email or other confirmation that you receive."

The 60GB premium console is £169, so £119 after voucher - http://www.marshallward.co.uk/rf/mar/p.do/60gb-premium-system?Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&SNtt=xbox+console&groupId=521024747&Nu=this_product&SNtk=littlewoods_search&Np=1&SN=102+85&Ntt=521024747&D=521024747&Ntk=group_search&Dx=mode%2bmatchall&thisprod=521024747&N=102+85&Nty=1&Mis_item_id=15&Mis_item_loc_id=1&product=521024747

Still, if you want a similar price and are worried about using the voucher, you could always buy one of the recent bundles with 2 or 3 games that have been going around and sell the games...

you will find that littlewoods, littlewoods direct, marshall ward ,additions, kays ,are all part of same group ,if item out of stock at 1 ,it will be out of stock at them all,

When your ordering the XBOX ask them if they can throw in a spare paddle - you'll need it when the voucher stings:roll:

I've just checked my online banking and they have debited £79, so I'm very happy!!
#29
surely with all the warnings this is some sort of scam?

but if they charge £79 from your debit card tehn cant you just call your card company and advise them to block all future payments to marshallward/littlewoods?......just like we can do with a direct debit?

They prob will try and you cant stop them!!
#33
why cant we stop them?

i dont get how they can just issue and charge a payment to our cards without permission?
#34
Looks good, be prepared for a fight for the voucher but could turn out to be a good deal. Whether that hassle/risk is worth £50 is up to each individual.
#35
Without a doubt this is HOT!!!! But I think its too good to be true! I wouldn't take the risk.
#36
Just used this code over the phone with Littlewoods Direct and everything went fine.
I just told them that i had an email from them with the code but i couldn't get it to work online, the chap on the phone put it through for me.

Result :-D
#37
Just placed an order over the phone :)
It cost me £80.20 TOTAL.
She did say I would be charged the full £129.00 but my discount would definitly be applied within 14 days and creditied to my credit card.
She did also tell me that after the discount applied I could return the item and get the full refund i.e £129.00 credited back to my credit card and that they would loose out on £50.
Anyway I will see what happens, Worst comes to worst will return if my discount doesnt come through.
#38
Not interested in this as I already have one but I don't understand that if you pay by card, cancel the old one and get a new one how they can actually debit any funds from it?

Your number may stay the same but expiry/start and SSC codes will be different and it will simply be rejected. Also, if you cancel your account with them as well once received, they cannot charge an account!
#39
buy it with a pre pay credit card , top up with £80 - buy it and then dont top again for a while. job done
#40
That won't work as they take the full amount then refund the discount.
