Yes Asda living in Boughton I called - he scanned a box through as well to make sure whilst I was on the phone.

Amazing the price structuring of the Xbox 360 Arcade, I bought one way way back in October 2008 from Sainsbury for £99, and here we are, 2010 and people still getting excited at the £99 price point!

Mine got banned, sold it for £75, hardly lost out!

Why are you even bothering posting a link to your own deal on a PS3 within a Xbox 360 thread? Is it going to make anyone thats interested in an Xbox 360 Arcade for £99 interested?
#12
Because the point is - has anyone even confirmed this deal before going mental on it - no store mentioned, no receipt or proof and I called a Living store and it aint £99.......

Maybe this helps?

Not really, posting a link to your own deal with a receipt for proof of the deal you got, which was not even the correct deal but one honoured in replacement (which not all stores would do, down to the discretion of the store if they would substitute games) and it also being an irrelevent console in relation to this deal, doesn't really help one ioata.

I have no reason not to believe the original poster here, the 360 as I stated was £99 in October 2008 in Sainsbury as part of a weeks promotion, as well as more recently at Argos...hardly is a brand new unbelieveable price that anyone has to be sceptical about now is it?

That's not a fantastic price either, the PS3 are not selling as fast as Sony hoped so the prices are low the better deal was the older 80gb for i think it was £188 the other day and as the other members mentioned this was for a £99 360 not a £250 PS3 that's a lot more money for what is not a lot more console and before the PS3 owners club start i had both and sold the PS3 as it wasn't as good games wise and to say it has bluray means nothing now as you can buy a bluray player for £99 or less and still get your 360.
#15
PS3 Bluray is one of the only ones thats potentially compatible with 3d blu ray when it hits tho..... rest of the cheapo ones will be redunandant, and its a pretty good deal to get 2 games with the slim ps3 for £250 - find me a better one and I will take mine back in the morning :)

The old "FAT" ps3 are not worth anything as gramted you can buy them for £180ish but to get the slim for £249 + to games that are still selling at £25-£40 Each makes it a good deal. The slim is much better and really a "NEW" console as it was compleatly rebuilt from scratch. Almost everything that was wrong with the FAT PS3 has now been sorted out and unless you factor in the price of a 5Yrs warranty I would not reccomend buying the FAT PS3 unless you like paying out for repairs every 6mth. Even Sony offer a 3mth Warranty on the "Referbs" because they know they wont last much past that. There is the "LUCKY" few that will have consoles last but if the red/yellow light dont get you then your bluray drive will.

Back to THIS deal Votted Hot if you can get one as many places are selling these at the new MICROSOFT RRP of £159.

And Breathe............................

In reply to the comment about Bluray and PS3 owners granted there is not much between them apart from the Bluray drive. Now this Bluray drive although only one thing lets game Dev's place more content on each disk! This is a big problem for Xbox 360 owners (Like You & Me) as more and more games are getting content cut on the Xbox 360 Version.

I own all the consoles but it still is a factor when you choose PS3 Vs Xbox 360 after all you buy the console for the GAMES mainly.
#18
Anyone actually confirmed this yet?

I know £99 xbox's have appeared in the past, my point is just is this actually one of those times or have you all been duped?

That statement says it all, and is why as a gamer up til now I have held off buying a PS3, whilst things are improving, with Heavy Rain, God Of War 3 (imminent) and all eyes on Team Ico's Last Guardian, really up til now its been far from an impressive line up.

With regards to game content, I would be interested in knowing where Xbox 360 games have had cut backs compared to the PS3 content?

If things do get problematic with the size of game content, Microsoft always have the option (with hard disk installs) to get around this with multiple disks.

Again.....anyone actually found a store selling them at this price?

Didn't think so........................

I dont give a **** about temperature rep standing or whatever.

I do care about trying to pass on a good deal. I dont have receipt as I didnt buy one nor will i ever scan one for the usual candidates.

For one time only I will post some evidence.

Belfast still has millions of these.

Hope this is of use.

Saw them today at Asda Living in Durham - priced at £99. There were at least a dozen of them on a shelf.
