Here we have an Xbox 360 Arcade unit, just with one wireless controller - no hard drive etc. I know there are good deals to be had with the elites at the moment but this is a great offer if you just need a spare machine on its all for whatever reason.. Make sure you have a new account with Additions Direct and use the code ZG103 to get it for this price! The XX103 code wont work...

Is this a personal code sent just to you? If so then the rest of us may get charged the full amount somewhere down the line, often seems the case with Littlewoods for example, I don't know who Additions belong to (parent company-wise)

Part of the shop direct group which also owns Littlewoods.

Get the feeling this is going to get very cold.

Nah it wasn't just sent to me. The code works fine on previous orders of mine and other peoples.

I dont understand the problem anyway - if the deal doesn't go trhough at that price you can just return the goods for a full refund anyway!

not if its after 30 days, which they will make sure of so you dont have any rights.
#6
and why on earth would you wait 30 days when you know you have been charged full price?
#7
and at that point you send it back. They cant bill you 30 days later!

Cant refund if youve used - so need to keep unpackaged for a month until invoice arrives and you know codes been accepted - Oh and they will keep rejecting Quidco -and take about 3 months to reimburse you if you return - NEVER USE CODES WITH LITTLWWOODS, ADDITONS VERY _ THEY ARE SHISTERS

I got a Wii from them not to long ago with this very code. I checked my bank acc and it had been debited the full price, then refunded the 30quid. The wii turned up a few days later with all this on the documents enclosed... So ive never had a problem with them 30 days down the line..

I bought an i-pod touch using one of these codes 6 months or more ago, worked a treat, no problem at all.

Surely if you've paid up front with credit/debit card they can't take money from you. Especially if you remove the card from the account...

Obviously some people haven't experienced the way that this Group works. They initially charge the discounted price and despatch the goods. They do this in 2 steps: charge full price and then refund the discount.

At some point in the future - might be 7 days, might be 6 months - they check the validity of the codes used and determine whether you were entitled to the discount. If they decide you were not, they send you an invoice for the discount taken. If you fail to pay, they send in the debt collectors. Hence, you may think that you are in the clear but you may not be.

This doesn't always happen and so sometimes people get away with using the codes, sometimes they don't.. However, never purchase from this group using a discount code unless you would be happy to pay the undiscounted price.

OK - no problem with people going for these deals as long as they know the risks. However, most people will pay on being faced with a bill, debt collectors and a possible note on their credit record.
