any of the pads (doesnt matter the colour) will need prepping first.

Wet and Dry paper, about 1200 grade. Go lightly over it first

Go halfords or someplace else, pick up some primer, spray that about 2-3 times at least. go over it again with the wet and dry paper.

If it still needs more primer keep going, otherwise you're ready for painting.

Couple of coats or paint, wet and dry again, then depending on your finish spray paint again and then get a can of laquer and spray 1-2 coats on that.

I recommend the laquer, it will protect it, although you'll end with a gloss finish.

You can get the paper, primer, paint and laquer from halfords or other car shops.

Same process for spraying the console, unless you're adding a pattern then youll need to figure your base coat, and pattern colour etc.

Yeah. Do you happen to know if the wireless one works with Windows XP/Vista? I mean to say is there is a sort of adapter that can capture the joypad's movements on the PC?

For those who cant be bothered to go down to their local Comet, The GameCollection are also doing these for £19.95 for the blue or £19.75 for the pink, both with free delivery :) Just got mine today.

The amount you'd spend on paint, laquer and wet&dry must notch the price up to that of a black/white controller, though i guess if your going for custom design....

No Problem

All those items will be around £6-£8 each. You probably won't need the bigger cans for spraying 1 console and a couple of pads, so pick up the smaller ones. I'm sure they're about £6.48 each or something (from memory)

no need to spray. I picked up one blue one, brought the recepit to PC World to price match for a white one fvor £19.99. So now have 2 controller for £39.98, what a bargain.

I picked up 2 white ones of these for £20 each from currys earlier today and both came with the viva pinata/forza 2 double game pack. bargain.

I dont know if this is in every store but these were hiding out of the way on a bottom shelf.

I'm going to keep 1 of the game packs and take 1 into cex which means i'll get both controllers and a set of games for £35.
