Maybe for this game WWII would work ;-)
#4
Excellent price for this game....even play-asia.com is about £25 including delivery.
#5
Hehe :-D

Sorry gary_rip :) You're correct, the WW1 doesn't work on video games

Shame you cant collect in store in the same way as pcworld :(
My local store has 5 (in stock) but because I ordered on line for collect in store I have to wait till Wednesday ???

Mind you wouldnt have bothered exept HMV have still not delivered my pre order :(
#7
Don't forget quidco for 5%... pays for the postage! :-D
#8
Welcome to HotUKDeals jimbo19 and dogbomb :) Yeah QuidCo helps lessen delivery costs ;-)

tell me about it!!

hmv have made a mess up of my pre-orders of COD3, F.E.A.R and SvR
#10
I think HMV need to seriously reassess their online commitments. They have consistently failed to live up to expectations. I bet Gears of War won't arrive til at least week after launch.
#11
Interesting thing is, i've seen comments from other sites with people pre-ordering COD3 from hmv and it being dispatched weds 8th (same as me), but it hasn't arrived yet.

You could always blame royal mail, but they managed to deliver F.E.A.R this morning which HMV dispatched on thurs 9th!

Excellent - A top find. My brother wants this for Christmas.

Cheers

thanks for the post, the thing is i work for woollies and i sent it to the store for collection, but i can not pay at the store, which sucks because i then can use my discount card and get £2.99 more off it, oh well £29.99 is better then paying £49.99

you're probably right, they are terrible fore games pre-orders, my PES6 still hadnt been despatched by it's official release date even thoiugh shops had been selling it since the tuesday that week, so i cancelled and got froma alocal gamestation store.

i do have a GoW ltd edition pre ordered, i'm not holding my breath, and if places sell early again, i will just buy and calcen the pre order. as getting pissed off with hmv's terrible customer service, they had the cheek to say i hadnt had valid card details or delivery details.. it's the same details they have saved that i use every time i have ordered. but for PRE orders they seriously need to re evaluate their policies.
i explained to them that they had lost out on a "guaranteed pre-order sale" as it hadnt been deapatched, but whether they care or not is another matter.
i'm still waiting for my DS browser from an order last month lol. but waiting to be in stock from supplier, so not their fault i guess

if it wasnt for the vouchers and games rewards points i wouldnt even give hmv the tiem of day..

oh. i also luckily ordered COD3 from play-asia for $39.90, should arrive next week :) cant wait.

hi m8 i bought this yesterday 12 november and it's saying i have to collect it on the 4th of december any ideas why i have to wait till december the 4th (before collecting) for a game that came out on 10th november or can i just go down to my local woolies with my order number and get it there and then ?
#17
They have to be delivered to the store, even if they have them in stock.

Ridiculous way of doing things. I ordered a PSP which was on back order and took 2 weeks, even though they had them on the shelf in the store.
#18
do you know if they are instore at the price of £29.99 because if they are i'll just go down and buyt one and cancell the collect at store terrible way of doing things seems a bit ill thought out

No I checked on Saturday and the price was £39.99 I think, certainly wasnt £29.99 as I was going to do the same thing.
#20
Wish I could stretch to this but its been one hell of an expensive month buying all these new titles - especially with multiple platforms to buy for :) Certainly a great price, no doubt back to full price by the time it gets to pay day.
#21
Thanks for this butlerj

First time using Woolworths.co.uk and I'm impressed with the service

Went via Quidco to earn back the £1.50 postage :)

£39.99 for COD 3 is not what I would class a hot deal. This is the standard online price for Xbox 360 games.

COD 3 is actually £37.99 from online stores Amazon, Choices, and HMV.
#23
well thats because it was 29.99 when the thread started, infact as i last checked its now dropped back to 29.99 anyway.
#24
Its still showing for 29.99 with me

4:32 am

must go to bed

Now £39.99 here...
