toysrus have instore offers which show out of stock on line as it is treated as a seperate 'store'.

http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Product.aspx/truhome/truvideogames/truvideogamesxbox360/truvideogamesxbox360consoles/946745

gets you
£320
xbox360 premium
Xbox 360 Call of Duty 3
Xbox 360 NBA 2K6
Xbox 360 Project Gotham Racing 3

no doubt however, someone will try and point out that you shouldnt buy an xbox360 because possibly sometime that no one knows some random guestimation of a 120gb hard drive, hdmi socket blah blah blah.

Nice bundle dandoc2 and I'm a massive Xbox360 fan.
Are you sure this thread wasn't started just to counteract the Amazon/PS3 pre-order one though? :w00t:

I voted hot for the good bundle, but don't be surprised if you get a cold reception from any PS3 fanboys from the Amazon thread.:-D

A lot better bundles were being offered prior to the new year but now it seems gamestation and toysrus have calmed down.

A little while ago, gamestation were offering a premium 360, extra wireless controller, pg3, raw and any 2 games of your choice for £315 if you used a voucher but now they've taken away the extra games.

I expect much better deals to come along our way 1-2 weeks prior to the PS3's release, as i know Microsoft aren't stupid and will try and kill the hype a little around Sony's console by doing a great deal.

I saw a place offering the core system along with viva pinata and fuzion frenzy 2 for £200 the other day but now i can't find it again but as i mentioned, i know a lot better deals will be available very soon and i'm not talking about the xbox 360 V2.

Saying this, i strongly recommend waiting for a month if anyone wants to buy a 360.

Damn Bargain Boy You Found My Master Plan :-d

Also regardin the 120gb hard drive and hdmi port - thats going to cost a lot more than the premium lets say £320+

I got my friend the best ever xbox 360 deal

if you remember way back when hmv had a 20% code well my friend used it on the £300 bundle of 360 premium + pgr3 + wirless controller and table tennis he got it for £250 as he had an extra £5 voucher off

will the 360 deals get better leading up to the ps3 launcH?
#8
It really depends on the retailers

Their gunna wanna shift ps3's so having excellent deals on other consoles wouldnt really help
#9
that doesnt make sense ...doing good deals on the other consoles would surely make people buy the other consoles and not the ps3?
#10
With the new 360 being released late March/early April, the current Premium WILL be reduced in price to £200, so don't go splashing out yet! Just wait another couple of months.

It does make sense, as Microsoft are fully aware that the PS3 is a big threat to there market share, as i'm sure anyone that is into gaming knows that Sony has been the comfortable market leader in home consoles, so Microsoft want to reduce consumers buying their rivals machine, even if it means they have to make a further loss but they can make that back in software sales.

To be honest, Microsoft and Sony have been making huge losses every year in the gaming industry but because it's such a multi-billion pound strong industry, it's important to control it and as you may be aware, Microsoft are trying to bridge the gap with console gaming and pc gaming, so they're introducing new aspects that will be able to make them money in the long run.

I am willing to place a bet with anyone that Microsoft will make an official price drop or throw in some improved games package bundles just prior to the PS3's launch, as every new customer means they've taken another away from Sony and not that many people will be able to own 2 next generation consoles so early in it's productive life due to such high costs.

thats bull the premium will never drop to £200 as theyd have to drop the core to liek £130 and theres a £70 diff atm

I agree with spikeyjac, if retailers want to shifts PS3’s, having really good deals on other consoles wont help

Who said anything about the premium being dropped to £200 and why does there have to be a £70 difference in price at all times, they may have a smaller gap in the near future?

There will be a pricedrop by next month and if you think otherwise, then you obviously don't know much about gaming and the business world as Sony is the market leader by miles and Microsoft are desperate to eat away at Sony's market share.

Why would a retailer have to work hard at selling a launch console when there's a shortage in availability, all stores preorders will be soldout before launch, if anything, stores will be hoping to sell the other stock that they've invested in that isn't guaranteed to sell by a certain date.

If you really think stores are going to struggle to sell consoles, then i suggest you checkout ebay, where you will see many people buying the next gen consoles purely for resale at a profit with no intentions of playing it.

the xbox 360 may come down in price, it may not.
it may come with 2 page 3 girls who can think for themselves and cook and clean and worship you.

however, until such times, it is all nothing but guessing.

it is fun to guess so my guess is the following

now that microsoft have produced loads more hd dvd players, the xbox 360 premium will be bundled in with the hd player, 2 wireless controllers and the normal gubbins for a princely sum of £350. pure guess work, it may not happen but it would make the full kit a couple games cheaper than the ps3.

obviously something will happen you would have thought, however i dont recall anything happening in the usa or japan where the market for console is greatly bigger than the uk, when the ps3 was released over there.
