I got one of these when they last came down to about £12..
Am really impressed with them, and at this price they represent an even better bargain..
Cool way of storing the 360 controllers and a dual charger too..

Can the batteries that come with this be used in the official quick charger? I'm really looking for a good deal on batteries, and this would be a great deal for 2 batteries if I can use them that way too.

I have the microsoft twin charger ( http://www.xbox.com/en-us/hardware/x/xbox360quickchargekit/ ). Surely it ties up your controller (or you need to connect it to a spare) when recharging, and reading above 4 hours recharge time is bad. Mine recharges in under 1 hour. So like i said, its just a pointless tacky controller holder - and not a very stable one from what ive read.

You are far better off getting the official battery charger which is quicker and can recharge batteries without requiring the controller. Or one of the leads that connects between the controller and the console, so at least you can still play whilst recharging. If you dont want to spend that, or cant find one then why not use normal rechargable AA batteries. For this price you can buy 4 AA slow discharge batteries with a charger.

So ill be more specific and ask this then - what is point of these compared to just using rechargable AAs. What are the benefits bar a tacky chav controller holder?

Depends what you're looking for... I wanted something to hold and charge my controllers. Can't please everyone ;)

or £7.99 at argos clearence ive had one months. They are a smart bit of kit they glow red when charging and green when charged but they require you to have your own batteries so you want some decent ones and 2 controllers one to charge one to use.
#14
Exactly like J_B said, I want it to re charge my controllers.... how many times have the battery's on anything ran out and we have not had spares to replace, and as for a chav controller holder, mine isn't the burberry edition...lol

The one's on the eBay store are AC powered and the one's instore are USB powered if that makes a difference to anyone....

I bought mine today, been charging for a couple of hours, will test them out later
#17
do the ebay ones come with 2 batteries?
#18
As asked above, can the batteries in this be used in the official charger, and can the official charger batteries be used in this charger?
#19
This is not the same as mine its usb powered which is pants that means the 360 must be powered to charge and your limited as to where you can place the charger unless you have a usb plug adapter so pretty useless your pads will be flat and you will need to leave your 360 burning power just to power a 5v charger.

the mains one i have is way better you can charge your pads anywhere at any time no 360 drinking loads of juice I'm afraid this is cold for me pointless bit of kit unless you have usb mains plug.
#20
Ah I didn't realise this is USB powered...yes a waist of time...mine is mains as well....like polly69 said, can charge it anytime and not when the xBox has to be on.

Looking for a similar one for the PS3 now.

4 hours is good, it will give the batteries a longer life. Charging in one hour all the time will shorten the batteries longevity.

It would be useful information if you were right but you are just so very wrong. Epic fail!!!!!

Just popped down to Argos to get one. For £9.99 I can't understand why people are moaning.

A, It gives me somewhere to keep my controllers, and B, It saves me buying batteries all the time.
