Good deal, but bad on the other hand. DONT GET THIS

the next xbox 360 is out later this month and is retailing for the same price as the elite. Its generally better so save your money

Red Dead is at least £33 everywhere and I think the wireless entertainment pack costs about £20, so taking those off the total would mean this is an elite for £117. That's about £70 cheaper than new 360 which got an insane amount of heat on here. What is so good about the new model which makes it worth £70 more? I know it has a 250GB harddrive and has wireless built in rather than needing a separate wireless adaptor, but is that it? I read somewhere the new model is "Konnect ready", but surely any 360 is ready for use with connect? I feel like I've missed the point of the new model!

Heat added to this one btw.

there is a very good review for the new xbox 360 and comparison with the elite (hardware, noise, size, power, heat, performance etc) from engadget. It seems that the new xbox is less noisy, consumes less power but gets more hot.

Said it before and I'll say it again.

The fire sale has now officially begun.... Argos, Sainsburys and Amazon shedding stock like a snake changing outfits.

and no red ring aparantly. Spoke to a CEX staff other day & they even get Elite's back with red ring & the HDMI models. both which they promissed wouldn't suffer from it. hopefully they improved this one. If this is the remedy then they'll sell like hotcakes. spoke to game today & they're taking £20 deposit for new elite & you get £10 reward point too ;-)

No red ring of death any more . . . just a purple light of death instead !

or so i read !

I was going to get this but if it gets hotter than my 6 month old elite i dont think i will bother as it already like a RADIATOR and thats with instalation of games on the hard drive ! This hot summer and the xbox is going to be the death of me or is just good weight loss equipment LOL. :-D

GOOD DEAL as the new one is generely selling for £199 everywhere

BUT microshaft what a EPIC FAIL as the new console !

The only console that cant go on the internet ! Even my microwave can do that for recipes !!!!

I agree. Retailers are only doing these deals as they know they will have problems shifting them soon.
