My son picked up an XBOX 360 Elite and a Free Game instore at Game late this afternoon for £149.99.

This was due to a misprint on an instore flyer that showed a picture of an XBOX 360, but had the wording XBOX 360 Elite above it.

My wife brought this to their attention and after some discussion and a phone call to HQ, they honoured the deal. Apparently, HQ had just sent an e-mail to the stores advising of the mistake and telling staff to honour the deal if it was spotted by a customer.

The free game was either FIFA 10, Forza Motorsport, Battlefield Bad Comp 2 or Sega All Stars Racing.

If you are quick tomorrow morning and pick up a flyer instore, they should honour their mistake.

Enfield Town.

Score for you getting them to honour it, as contray to popular belief theres no such thing as a retailer being bound by some magical SOGA clause to sell you a product at the price displayed. Bet they wouldnt have been so quick if it was costing em more than a game. :p

If they're true to their word tho and that email goes out. This'll get some heat. Not voting till others report sucess.

As an aside, is it comfirmed MS/retailers are shifting stock in anticipation of some new version or a price drop on the 250GB Super Elite? Just everywhere seems to be chopping £50 off these now without much song and dance.

anyone got a scan of the flyer? suspect they have shredded them all by now

Would have thought that this was pretty much the only guaranteed way of not getting the deal. I hope it was sarcastic.

BTW, THIS IS NOT A DEAL! An instore flyer that will be honoured if a customer sees it, I wonder how you "rectify" this??????????????????

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm................................get rid of the ****ing flyers

I have got a copy of the flyer, but unfortunately, I don't have a scanner, otherwise I would have scanned it together with the receipt.

true, retailers do not have to honour prices displayed, they can excercise another option which is to remove it from sale completely.

Or just reprice the item at a higher price.

Sooooo many deals on here have been missed due to someone ringing up and asking about it ,
"..hello shop (whichever one) I've heard you're selling xbox's at £15 instead of £150, can I come and pick one up."
