If you are after an Xbox 360 Elite you can get it with 2 great games and they work out at £10 each. Seems like a pretty decent deal to me.

I thought I'd post it since I haven't seen it posted and I would buy one of this if I didn't have one already.

Title says or should be and
Good price for two must have games... I'm tempted
But I can't help but think that there is a bigger hard drive just around the corner
#2
Seems a bit mad to have 2 mammoth RPGs in a bundle together.

Yeah if you're a goose and pay RRP for the latest games! I just bought my Elite for £230 and it comes with a free wireless controller (black) and FIFA 09 from Gamestation.

This deal is a good deal but I'd wait to see what others offer before ordering (i assume you can cancel anyway if you do order and find a better deal! )

sorry for what may be a painfully basic question, but I'm out of touch with these things now: could someone tell me, are XBOX 360s reliable now? Did they fix the problems which were leading to all of the replacements?

I haven't played games for a few years but am thinking of getting a 360 or PS3 to see how things have moved on.

If you really want to see how things have moved on, get a PS3, then you can experience the best games and movies in the highest quality, browse the internet and play online for free via the built in wifi.

I fancy online play and don't know much about it. It seems that everyone seems to go on about the xbox being the best for online play. However don't know which one to buy.

The PS3 looks good but is the online play good with that now and if so what do I need for that i.e. is there a subscription cost?

I know that the xbox needs an wifi adaptor but does the PS3 have it built in?

Thanks

still think geting an arcade xbox is the cheapest way to get to an elite

Nope no subscription cost (which if you plan on using it for a few years saves a fortune), and yes wireless is built in meaning you can connect wirelessly to the internet straight out of the box providing you have a wireless router - online is great and they are adding new features all the time, and then theres HOME which is launching very soon and that will revolutionise online gaming. - http://www.gaming-age.com/news/2008/10/16-24

Brilliant offer, my brother wants an Elite and I want these two games, so win-win ^_^

If your buying for GAMES its a no brainer. PS3 has no one game thats exclusive that makes it worth buying.

Add to that, an XBox 360 Elite with 2 games for £249 or £299 for a PS3 with one game.

360 online play kicks the PS3s behind, hence why Sony are revamping their online as they know they made a mess of it the first time. Then again Microsoft are about to completely revamp Live as well so once again Sony will be playing catch up.

If you want to watch Blu-Ray films and want your games console in your lounge then fine, get a PS3, if you want the best games at a discounted price, get a 360.

As anyone considering trying to buy the cheap version for £99 (Sainsbury's/Tesco's/etc) and then buying a £50 (120gb) hard disk off Ebay, the Elite seems a little pointless? Unless it has to be black?

Not sure if the Sainsburys ones are HDMI thats about the only other difference i can think of

2 great games, even if you dont want them you will easily get £30 a piece back for them on ebay making it £190 for an elite.

No downside really brilliant deal.

The PS3 has LittleBigPlanet launching soon, so there's an exclusive for you. Multiformat games like Ghost recon, Bioshock, Dead Space, PES are all there.

As for value for money, it's down to what you want. If you want good games then the Xbox 360 is currently for you, and it's much, much cheaper. However, as a blu ray player the PS3 is outstanding value for money, and has yet to get into its stride.

For me, the 360 is a no-brainer, but to write off the PS3 totally is the act of an idiot.

Home is nothing but a gimmick, I'd rather play Animal Crossing for something similar but more fun.

Anyway, good deal, three great games that deserve your time! I'd recommend Fable 2 and Fallout 3 personally, both have been taking up all of my time lately.
