as title states at tesco instore xbox 360 Elite value pack with Halo ODST and Forza 3 and 2 more selected games from mini ninjas, sega and sonic all stars racing, Avatar, Fable II, crackdown and Saints row 2.
I know some of the games are not the best, but thought this was good value including 4 games!!
Fable II and Sega and sonic for the giggles would be my choices I think.

Looks like a good deal to me. Have some heat.
#3
With the slim coming out these will drop a lot.

Forza + ODST are worth about £20 together...
#4
Fable 2 and crackdown are great games. ODST and Forza 3 are good as well. Looks like a great deal to me.

You are getting around £30 worth of games along with a soon to be obsolete console. For only £30 cheaper than RRP (will prob get it cheaper) of the new console that comes out in 2 weeks ? Plus a hard drive that is less than half the size. And you wont be able to trade in Forza and ODST as they will come as packaged and not retail packs. Not a hot deal to me I am afraid.

Good deal on elite systems to be had now and in the coming weeks

Dont forget these come with 3 years Microsoft rrod and e74 warranty where the new ones only have 12 months warranty

Iwas in Asda (Gt Yarmouth) today and I am sure they said over the tannoy that the Elite, plus a couple of extras was reduced from £190 ish to £140, cant be any more precise than that even though I did hear it twice

I believe the Asda deal is £149 for the console and get Battlefield bad company 2 for £10 so £159 altogether.

... a soon to be obsolete console.

Hardly. Unless you're saying my LCD TV is obselete. In which case we need some Englsih lessons.
#10
how is it obselete? Its exactly the same, bar quieter, less hd space and no built in wireless...no performance difference. Better get rid of my retro ps3 phat if thats the way of thinking.

But the new console is £30 more with only 1 year rrod warranty and no games. This will not be obsolete as it will still play the same games.
Are you the new Loughboro Guy? :whistling:

Glad you got one. Still working on the wife trying to justify why to get one. She reckons I wont play it as I don't play on the wii at the minute. Why do women not understand??

Politely ask .......

'Why do you need 20 pairs of shoes, 30 handbags and god knows how many dresses'

then say tesco's on the morning Hun? Hahaha

New console is £174.99 from various places, this particular make / model will be obsolete, i.e. replaced by something newer, quieter, larger storage , built in wireless N, and a lot better looking than the brick that is the 360, as for the Loughboro guy, I'm starting to think you may be him in disguise, next you'll be touting megadrives instead :whistling:

I have just had my 2nd elite fail on me, new architecture puts all the circuits on the one board theoretically (possily not mind) doing away with RRoD , and I can 100 % guarantee that it is physically impossible for the new console to get RRoD

And for the idiots that dont know what obsolete means :

ob·so·lete (bs-lt, bs-lt)
adj.
1. No longer in use: an obsolete word.
2. Outmoded in design, style, or construction: an obsolete locomotive.

I stand corrected. I'll go back into my corner

The original price was £215, then there was a yellow label below the advertising box with the new price. Get them to scan it. Should go through at £169 ;-)
