This deal is £249 in Blockbuster!! Console alone that is

Plus after my HMV saga, i wouldnt bother ordering online..

I bought the same console spec for £249 at christmas from Argos without any promotional codes to don't jump at this offer. I haven't recently checked Argos but I'd advise you to have a look first.

Thanks

Not meaning to sound negative, but be aware it is highly likely that Microsoft will bring out a new version of the XBOX 360 later this year, likely incorporating IPTV, a larger hard drive, HDMI connectivity, and a revised/quieter processor... that's why I've postponed buying myself a 360 since Christmas!

But if you can't wait, I guess £250 for the premium pack is OK at the minute. There will probably be better bargains around in March when the PS3 is launched though...

Was in the same boat..
But i bought the other day and thought sod it..Could be waiting months and months!!
£279 with GOW and Rainbow 6

That's all well and good, but the same can be said for any electronics product.

Do you think people held off buying iPods 5 years ago because they thought 'Ohhh, hang on, if I wait 5 years there will be a better product out!'

If you want a 360, just buy one, there's no point just waiting and waiting and waiting. If you're waiting for electronics because of rumours then you'll be waiting a very long time.

Sorry ive had to vote this cold.
Be very carefull with your orders as this code is for virgin credit card customers.
It says to the T&C's orders MUST be placed using a virgin credit for the discount to valid.
Ive taken this from my virgin money website
Hello Virgin Credit Card Customer and welcome to Virgin Megastores!

To get your 10% discount all you need to do is enter the following discount code into the 'Promotion Voucher' box once you're at the checkout.

The discount code is:

3010klvmcc10

The 10% discount only applies when using a Virgin Credit Card and can be applied to orders of any value. Standard website terms and conditions apply which you will need to accept at the point of ordering. And don't forget all orders delivered to UK addresses qualify for free Postage and Packing!

Happy Shopping!
I dont want people to be stung with the act you didnt follow the T&C's of the offer and end up with a full price xbox on your door step

I think people will start getting bored of me repeating myself... but I reckon the Gamestation deals are the best around. If you've got the extra £75 I would definitely look at their offers as you can get all this for for £325
* Premium Pack
* Project Gotham 3 Racing
* WWE 2007
* ANY 2 other games of your choice
* Xbox Live Unplugged (Including the awesome game - Geometry Wars!)
* An Extra Wireless Controller

So for your extra £75 quid you are getting about £150 or more worth of games (4.5 of them)/controller making the console itself an absolute bargain!

And no... I don't work for Gamestation. I am just amazed at how this compares to the rip off deals everywhere else.

I've heard some accounts that Gamestation is crap with returns - however when my bf got this deal at the weekend his harddrive turned out to be duff and they swapped it no questions asked. I understand microsoft are really good at warrenties themselves too.

i'm going to wait a couple of weeks, cos i think they're going to drop the price a bit

I thinkthe new kit will be the same price - also agree with the points about why wait 6 months when you can play now.

The new features are good but for most there is no impact

20gig is enough for normal usage, HDMI isnt a a big jump from just using VGA, quiter processer isnt an issue as its the DVD Drive thats noisey

Your in for a long wait then. I'm using my HDMI port for my PS3, so doesn't bother me. I bought mine 360 on launch and don't regret, had over a year of great gaming. :-D

IPTV? As in LiveTV? As in the product announced at CES?

http://blog.t3.co.uk/page/t3?entry=official_live_tv_hits_xbox

The rumour of the rest is hardly worth waiting 10 months for. HDMI is nice and all, but worth waiting for?

The virgin deal goes through ok with that code. But they cancel your order afterwards if you havent purchased the xbox package with a Virgin credit card, losers :-(

xbox v2 will have bigger hdd, hdmi, 65nm cpu (cooler and uses less power), im sure they will also quiten the dvd drive too.

Be careful of Gamestation, esp online. I ordered an 360 in thier 325quid deal on 29th Dec and it's still not been sent of changed status. They haven't answered any of my three e-mails and I can't get through on the phone. Also, I went to the store today, all of thier 360 bundled offers where gone from the shelves, was too busy for me to ask about it.

Yeah I decided that the difference between buying online with quidco and cost of shipping worked out only a little cheaper than popping instore and getting there and then. You know you're getting it that way.

They were also pretty helpful - they had run out of WWE's but offered to knock the preowned trade in of £22 off the price - seeing as we didn't want that game anyway it was a steal! Also as I said with the harddrive not working they were cool about us just taking the harddrive in and not the entire console so that was really good. A positive Nottingham experience anyway - not bought anything from them before... but going by other peoples comments if it goes wrong dealing directly with Microsoft is the best option.

Thanks for the welcome, long time lurker, but felt I needed to say my piece about Gamestation. :)

Quite true. There are many 360 games to be enjoyed now and in the coming months so if you find a deal that suits your budget then you have every reason to go for it.

Besides, Microsoft have dismissed all this recent talk of '360 v2' as merely "experimentation", its not something they're thinking about announcing. It may yet happen but it would likely be some time in the distant future.

Oh yeah - you have to add the Wireless Entertainment Bundle too for it to work but it seems to be out of stock. Good luck instore - it was on last weekend so you should be ok if the offers still on. Give them a ring maybe.

Anybody looking for a core system you can get it for about £160 at Great universal if it's your first order.

First order - 20%
8% quidco.

Hope this helps.
